It's all about the Phils, Bishes!!! ;D
Like, Brad, I wish I was off to spring training. My Dad goes every year when my parents visit friends in the Clearwater area.
I've never been to FL for spring training, but have been to a Cubs and a Giants game in Scottsdale.

I've never been to FL for spring training, but have been to a Cubs and a Giants game in Scottsdale. I used to go with a bunch of guys every year for a week... unfortunately the majority of them are Yankees fans, so we would go to Tampa... but we would go to 10-11 games that week... catch a day game in Tampa and head to Ft. Myers or Clearwater for a night game... it was so much fun. My favorite place to go was Bradenton to see the Pirates... awesome. The players are awesome down there... they will talk with you and sign for a while after the games... the place we stayed always had a St. Patty's Day party that was awesome... the Yankees players would typically come to it... Jeter was pretty down to earth

do the Angels have the pitching though? I would have to look into Texas more... but I think the M's have a shot. Although, is Casey Kotchman going to be the starting first baseman?
I am assuming that you are a Ms fan, which is why I said about them running away with it.

Kotchman will likely platoon with Ryan Garko. And yes, I'm an M's fan.

And yes, it still a decent staff, but I'm not sure they have a really strong Ace, which the Ms do have... it goes a long way to have that one guy that you can count on to stop a losing slide every single time he pitches. Weaver would be the closest thing to that, and lets be honest, he's no Felix.

DTM!!! what do you think about the Tigers offering Damon 2 years 14.5 million... aren't they trying to save money??? LOL. The witty baseball commentary has just begun between us ;D I'm shocked by the Tigers. I thought they traded Granderson cause they couldn't afford him and now they are looking to pay above market for Damon

This signing makes zero sense to me... didn't they kind of screw over Polanco as well cause they couldn't afford him? Maybe he had a surgery on his shoulder that made it bionic.

That's right they did screw over Polanco cause they couldn't afford to keep him....
typical of the Tigers the last few years...they can't decide if they are buyers or sellers.
I love Damon but it makes zero sense to me as well.

maybe they are going to make room for Damon by giving Miguel Cabrera to the Sox

maybe they are going to make room for Damon by giving Miguel Cabrera to the Sox LMAO, just what they need another 1B/3B. Is Mike Lowell still on the Sox? Was he traded or not?

he was traded, but then proceded to fail a physical for an injury that they were aware of... he is back on the Sox roster now... but we did get rid of Kotchman... we currently have, and probably not limited to, Youk, Beltre, V. Martinez, Lowell... I feel like I am missing an obvious one... the good news is that Lowell is working on playing 1st, so he will get more playing time... especially if Beltre lays an egg.

I am so upset I will most likely miss the Alma College baseball season because of my ACL tear. Least I still have the Reds and Tigers though.
