I had a nice NY Strip and Baked Potato in celebration of Bama's loss. I could not watch the game (probably the fault of some Bama engineering student that could not fix the local signal) probably crying in the control room.

The Auburn LSU game was one of the hardest hitting games I've ever seen. For many outside the South to say it was a terrible game are the exact type of people that cry about everyone just staring at box scores for teams like Boise.
South Carolina just pulled off a historic victory over Alabama. Alabama was completely outplayed yet fought their asses off to make it a game.
And having said all that saying SEC at its finest may have been hyperbole. But not by much.

The biggest difference between a "typical SEC game" and other games is the physicality and athleticism along both lines. That is why SEC defenses have ripped apart other teams in the BCS title games. It is present in other conferences, but if you are not the most physical team on both lines you will not win. There is a reason there aren't any texas tech type offenses in the SEC. You have to run the football to win. USC stopped the run and ran the ball effectively and that's why we controlled the game. We are definitely biased when it comes to the SEC because that is what we watch every weekend, but you cannot deny the SEC brand of football has been extremely effective OOC in bowl games.

The Auburn- Clemson gave is quite possibly the most physical football game I have seen played this year. Auburn-USCe wasn't far from it either.

Congrats to Steve Spurrier and the Gamecocks! Nick's post interview was interesting...blames his players - okay they did play the game but how about coaching? Why didnt Alabama run Ingram and Richardson more? South Carolina has a good team - no fluke. I'm loving this. What is wrong with Florida? They let the Mad Hatter pull off that fake field goal...dont think the Gators have it this year. They look disorganized and have to work too hard to even get a first down. Boy do they miss Tim Tebow...How cool is it going to be if South Carolina makes it to the SEC Championship game. Hope there is no letdown for them against Kentucky next Saturday.

I think Nick Saban said they got outcoached. I didn't think his interview was out of line. He brought up the fact that he has a lot of young players on defense, but he believes in them and that they can turn it around. All of Bama's preseason goals are in front of them, they just need to bounce back. South Carolina has had the talent for a while but has not been able to play up to that talent. Maybe this is the year they do, but we'll know more next week against Kentucky. I'm not sold on them getting back to earth and beating a team they should beat.

Yeah, we have to contain him if we want to have a chance to win. I'm just hoping we can run the ball and control the game. If not we'll be in a dogfight.
