The reasons are not the same: Malcolm Mitchell has yet to return to practice after undergoing knee surgery in late July, while Scott-Wesley is expected to be suspended for his marijuana arrest last year. Scott-Wesley has also missed the last two days of practice with an ankle injury. Richt did not confirm Scott-Wesley's suspension, but it is standard UGA policy for a player to miss one game for his first marijuana violation, and four games for a second one. As for other matters, Richt indicated that jobs are still being decided with the Clemson game now days away. He said he and his coaches were going to meet after Tuesday's practice to "try and nail down who's gonna play where." Richt also downplayed the official depth chart, which was released on Monday. When asked about the two most notable depth chart moves - inside linebacker Ramik Wilson being demoted to second team and cornerback Devin Bowman making first team - Richt smiled. "This depth chart, I wouldn't go too crazy about right now, to be honest with you," Richt said. "I don't even know if it's worth writing about." Shouldn't you be focused on Idaho? Maybe improved blocking schemes? You know, rising to mediocrity.

Malcolm Mitchell is the only starter lost this fall camp due to injury who was expected to start against Clemson, pretty good IMO.

That is true. However, pundits keep referring to the vast array of talent that surrounds Hutson Mason and all he has to do is "manage" the offense. I am not sure I see this vast array of talent outside of the running back position. Jay Rome has really not done anything since he arrived in Athens. We know about his potential, but right now I think we are weaker at tight end than we have been at any time in Mark Richt's time in Athens. We don't have our two fastest wide receivers. We have our two most dependable in Chris Conley and Michael Bennett but neither is a speed burner. Rumpf has yet to do anything despite his size and strength. I suspect we might put the freshman McKenzie out in open space and hope something happens.
Word is that all 5 running backs will play. Fortunately Gurley and Marshall are good receivers. It will be interesting to see Brendan Douglass, Chub and Michel play on Saturday evening. Theus has been announced as the Left Tackle and it appears that the line has been stabilized. We appear to have more depth, but honestly our OL play has been ok, but not really great.
Something tells me that we better hope our defense has improved a hell of a lot.

Weather is not looking good for this game. Warm and Thunderstorms! Here is to hoping the game goes off without any kind of delays due to weather, and that the field holds up if it does dump a lot of rain.
