Not a fan of the gonorrhea green uniforms Oregon was sporting this weekend. Who the hell selected that shade? It's colored like the pus of a really bad infection.

That green reminds me of the Tillamook Forest near the Oregon coast. You sir, need a new profession.

Think I found the source of that color thanks to Orygun Quack's pointing me to Tillamook, so I looked up some images: That was the closest I could find and if that's it, they didn't capture it very well. I'm a fan of Oregon's usual darker green. More realistically speaking, the pants up top remind me of the color of those cheap plastic army men we used to play with as little kids.

smog - did you get them from the 5 and dime or the back of the comic book ...
I'm shade color blind so the pants look okay but the green on the helmet and uni's look too light.

The ones I always liked were the dark green, but occasionally you'd get stuck with the cheap ones that were the lighter green like those pants. The dark olive green looked military, the light green -- not so much. And for Quacks, I'm not anti-Oregon by any means, but I am anti that color for sure. Not their best uni.

A lot of tradition in the Duck's uniforms. One year.
A lot like our culture today, instant gratification, IMO.

instant gratification - it doesn't always give you the answer you WANT and only what you want is what you want even if it's wrong.
I'm glad the DOJ is after something again.

People in jobs that require a uniform usually do, actually, from McDonald's and the armed forces to the NY Yankees. I like Oregon shaking it up, but I also see GTF's point that CFB is a lot about traditions and I was thinking about that this weekend seeing all the crazy helmets and new uniforms, tradition is dying.

I don't think I'd want my school colors changing from game to game. Just imagine if USC rotated between garnet georgia red and crimson. Makes no sense to me.

Tradition is dying because of Duck envy. Kids these days want swag not tradition.

The Oregon Uni thing is played out IMO. Stick to a few combo's and play football. To date, the Uni's are O'fer NC's.

One that is into the uniforms more than the style of play or the coach or fan base or tradition?

I was kind of put off this weekend about not being able to tell who the heck was playing when I saw something on the screen. Hardly anyone is recognizable anymore. I'm glad USC hasn't gotten into this level with the unis. Fresno State looked like Oklahoma State with those white helmets, and Oklahoma State didn't look like themselves with the black ones.

Yeah, I hear you, Smog. I hate this trend in uniforms. Oh well, to each their own.
