Laremy Tunsil was arrested Friday in Oxford, Mississippi, on domestic violence charges after he punched his stepfather, according to ESPN.com.
A source told ESPN that Tunsil hit his stepfather, Lindsey Miller, after his stepfather shoved his mother, Desiree Tunsil.
“His stepfather shoved his mom and Laremy punched him,” the source said. “It’s as simple as that. He was defending his mother.”
Tunsil is projected to be a first-round pick in the 2016 NFL draft, and he’s one of the top offensive linemen in the country.
Ole Miss head coach Hugh Freeze said he was proud that Tunsil protected his mother, but obviously he could have handled it a little differently. Freeze said Tunsil and his mother have since pressed charges against his stepfather.
“We can confirm that Laremy Tunsil turned himself in and was arrested for a misdemeanor, domestic violence-simple assault,” Freeze said in a statement provided to ESPN. “The incident occurred Thursday night and involves Laremy defending his mother against his stepfather.
“Laremy realizes he could have handled it differently, but I am proud of him for standing up for his mother and protecting his family. Laremy and his mother have also pressed charges against the stepfather. As we gather more facts, we will act and make decisions accordingly.”

I suggest he be kicked off the team. Then UGA should request a waiver and accept him. Go east young man.

The capital A would suggest a proper noun, thus my question. Of course, I wouldn't expect a dog to get that.

How ironic......a dumbass calling me an ass. Wasn't me who thought two Arkansas running backs BOTH rushed for 2,000 yards last season.

Now the old man is alleging that Tunsil was with Agents when this took place. If so..... He Gone! Not correct. Players can meet with agents as often as they like as long as the there is no agreement for future services, no benefits are given, and the player pays for his own food etc. Many coaches have rules against it in order to keep the player from giving into a dirty agent from trying to slip him something under the table but that is the coaches rule not the NCAA.
