We did this last year and I thought it might be fun to do again.
What freshmen are you expecting to have a big season for your team?
1. Mike Weber was the first guy to lose the black stripes at training camp this year and I expect him to beat Dunn for #2 RB. Could be a big time star the next few years.
2. Torrence Gibson. Big time dual threat QB recruit. He realized the position was crowded and made the move to WR where his size and speed should really help right away. Big deep ball threat.
Who you got?

Last year I picked Curtis Samuel and Raekwon McMillan. Samuel had a decent season backing up Elliot and was the third leading rusher on the team, but McMillan was a force on the defense splitting time with the senior Grant. Samuel moved to H-Back while McMillan is the starting MLB.

For the Georgia Bulldogs, Trent Thompson is a likely starter not later than midseason. He is a DT with incredible up side and he is seen as a critical plug in what was a leaky run defense last year. Natrez Patrick may not start initially but will be a big player at inside linebacker. Look for Terry Godwin and Michael Chigbu to play key roles at wide receiver, especially in light of the lack of depth and the apparent end of Justin Scott-Wesley's career.

Arden Key and Isaiah Washington are going to get a lot of playing at defensive end. Maea Teuhema is projected to start at right guard on offense. William Clapp a red shirt freshman is projected to start at left offensive guard.
For LSU.

LB Dedrick Young - Looks like he's deep in the competition for a starting linebacker spot. The Huskers are missing some production due to graduation from last season (Zaire Anderson) as well as players leaving the team (David Santos), so if Young can fill in, that will be huge for the Huskers.
WR Stanley Morgan - Especially with DPE out for the first few weeks of the season and really many of the Husker receivers having some sort of health problem this offseason, it'll be even more important for Morgan to step up.

FSUs whole team is freshmen, but I'll go with Derwin James. I say Josh Sweat will be starting on the d line by the 5th game of the season.

We had a very small class..... Marred by a lot of late decommits off the worst season in 30 years....
But, our 3 best freshmen all have impressed everyone with one thing.... "Speed ".
The depth overall is so great that the offense does need much help from freshmen, but we could have a couple of highlight reel instances from:
1. RB Corey Dauphine 2. WR Tony Brown 3. keke Coutee
All three are burners, but they all three could also red shirt. IDK.

Terry Godwin on Offense. Trent Thompson on D. As well as a few others, but these are my two who will see plenty of playing time to show their skills.

He is doing good, but with Fornette and Williams, how many touches will he get?

I would say the freshmen to watch are the co-eds, but now that I'm old enough to be their grandfather it just feels creepy. As for the actual question, I can't name a single freshman from any team this year, USC or otherwise.

So, does that mean I should not go out with this 32 year old woman who asked me out for some adult beverages? I am so confused. Where does the "creepy" line get drawn?

I believe the rule is, the youngest person you can date is 1/2 your age plus 7 years. Works for any age 14 or older. So as long as you are 50 or younger you're good.

Last year mine were Artavis Scott and Makenzie Alexander...this year Clemson will need a few more to step up
DT Christian Wilkins is a freak athlete. 305 pounds and was doing round off back hand springs this summer. The former 5 star kid has been killing it in practice and with Reader in a leave of absence look for him to battle for the starting nod sooner than later. Some inside clemson say he is the most athletic DL since the Fridge. That's some expectations...
OT mitch Hyatt has earned the starting LT role with Battle being forced exited. He better grow up fast
WR/RB Ray Ray McCloud...he wont be needed with depth but he will not be able to be held off the field. Coaches have been more than impressed with how quick he has learned play book. He will likely have packages designed to use his skill set
One of the DE between Ferrell and Bryant will be needed in a depth role. My guess was Ferrell until a broken hand but Bryant seems likely as he was an early enroll
I will say this...Christian Wilkins is going to be a freshman all American. That's my prediction
