Today the Brewers fired their pitching coach(They shouldn't have), released Bill Hall, sent JJ Hardy to the minors, and brought up their best prospect in an SS named Escobar. Season is over, now giving a shit about football.
GO STL CARDINALS!!!!!

Well, minus this year, you can't really discredit much of what Soriano has been able to do, especially w/ the Cubs (despite injuries).

Yeah that was very Philly esque. That's embarrassing. Some fans make the others look bad. No call for that and friggin classless. The guy who dumped the beer on Victorino should be thrown in jail. As far as Marmol goes, the guy is almost unhittable. He puts himself in bad spots because of his control problems. For right now, until Marmol figures out how to throw a fuckin strike, Lou should use Guzman in the 8th. Also, Gregg has been very shaky as of late. I wonder if Florida is still on his mind. The Cubs are getting dangerously close to falling out of the race. If they don't go on an extended string of playing good baseball, they can get ready for football season.

That puts the icing on the cake of how terrible this season has been so far. Can't believe I'm still thinking there's a slight shot at a playoff spot. Ugh, 4 games, 4 freakin' games, wouldn't be surprised to see it become 20 by the time October comes around. Samardzija (you weren't even close toph) needs to be sent down to AAA (heck, maybe even AA) and work on his stuff. We sorely need the Pirates series this weekend and hopefully pull off a nice string of wins. Thank God Ted Lilly is back on Monday and Z is scheduled to only miss one more start. I don't know how much longer the Cubs can survive with the pitiful offense and the lack of pitching. There WAS depth, but with so many injuries, that depth is gone. Ugh, there's still a little bit of hope, but with how well the Cardinals are playing and the availability of money and the way they were able to get quality players, I don't see them missing the playoffs. Here we have the Cubs leaving 50 million runners on base and then not able to score against a pitcher who was pitiful (except for his last start) in the minors and hadn't pitched a major league game since September, also a pitcher that was rumored to be in the Cubs' interest. Just disgusting. Milton Bradley is just about the only one that is seeming to care, and people were getting all over his case for being lazy in the first half. If you're going to win, show some interest and win for God's sakes, quit teasing us with the 6 game win streaks and then turn around to lose 5 more. At least give a damn. What makes that beer bath worse is that the security threw out the wrong guy plus Victorino still caught the ball. A) Pull a Bartman and make sure that ball never gets caught if you're going to do something as foolish as that and B) I can't really believe how inept the fan base is, again, it is very hard to defend a fan base as stupid as the Cubs'. Our fan base is so inept it's spreading to the security, just disgusting.

Trust me. I know all about idiot fan bases. I root for the Phils and Eagles. You don't get much dumber than those two fine groups of people.
