I was a HUGE Big "E" fan. After his wreck and death I tried to become a Jr fan.... I just could not support him. He always seemed like a whiney little prick. I though many times..."If your dad was alive he'd knock the shit out of you"
I thought he got the wrong end of the deal from Teresa and DEI....and he did....but she made a comment once that I thought was wrong but seems to be more and more true.... "Jr needs to decide whether he wants to race cars or be a celebrity."

I was as well PJ, I raced for a little while, and used the bump and run. Dale Sr. was the man and I tried to race just like him. I have no shame in I shed a tear when he died, and after that for a couple of years I tried to watch races. However it just wasnt the same without #3. It wasnt until last year I started watching NASCAR again on a regular basis. Kind of a Jr fan by default, I wish he would develop that killer instinct Sr. had.

Eury Jr sealed his fate with me when last year at Sonoma, Jr had a 58 second lead, everyone pitted, and he kept Jr out. Even DW was smart enough to say "If there's a wreck, Jr gets screwed by staying out. Bring him in, and he has enough of a lead to stay in first."
Guess what....2 laps later, yellow comes out, and Jr has to pit while everyone stays out and he ends up in 28th place.
6 laps he kept him out when he could have pitted. With NO reasonable explanation as to why. That just shows how clueless he is....
