They actually get started tonight. So all the bullshit can be settled on the court. Here are some things to know about the NBA Finals before posting on this thread.
1. ABC/ESPN is biased towards LA 2. Kobe is a whiny ass bitch. 3. Orlando is the hottest team coming in yet are sooooooooooooo underappreciated. 4. It's only the NBA, so who really gives a shit!!
Let the games begin. I hope it's a great series that goes 7 games with each game coming down to a final second shot. I know, wishful thinking.

Oh I forgot 5. MJ, Magic, Larry, Kareem, etc all never one a title without another All Star on his team, so don't hold that against Kobe.

Bynum scoring early will hopefully mean Howard has to work at the D end.

Lakers on a 10-0 run to take a 5 point lead.
If Jameer Nelson can give Orlando solid minutes like he has that will be a nice bonus. Howard being in foul trouble will hurt Orlando if this happens on a nightly basis.
This is the first opponent that has had post players that can force Howard to play D in the low blocks.
None the less this looks like it has the makings of a physical and competitive series.
Kobe has been quiet thus far.

Uh oh. Bynum has 3 fouls and Gasol has 2. Now that is something the Lakers can't afford.

The Lakers really clamped down on D in the last part of the second quarter. Orlando wasn't hitting like they did against Cleveland. Odom is going to be a tough matchup for Lewis with Odom's lenght and recovery ability on the perimeter.
Lakers up by 10 at the half.

That selfish POS Kobe has 6 assists. I see that you read the inital post and are abiding by the by laws of this thread. All joking aside, I was shocked when they said that he has 18 points. It was a quiet 18 as I was impressed on how he was distributing the ball. He was cold early on, so I figured he had like 12 or 13 points.

To me Kobe is an interesting story. The first time I saw him play was in the PA state playoffs my senior year. It was his senior year and one of the teams from my league played Kobe's school in the first round of the playoffs. A bunch of my friends went to the game. Kobe scored 30 and didn't play a minute of the second half.
He hasn't always handled business the right way for sure, but there's no denying his ability to play this game.

Orlando better figure something out real quick or this may get ugly.

Lakers starting to blow this open. Up by 18 and Orlando is ice cold from the perimeter.
Once again, I will say that a team that is as perimeter laden as Orlando is going to have a hard time winning in the Finals. That's why when Nelson was in at least they looked to penetrate. They either got easy interior baskets or went to the line. Now, not so much.

He might be on the bench with the game sealed up before he has the chance to get the assists and rebounds that he needs to get the triple double.
Helluva performance thus far. Orlando has NO match for him right now.
