Fisher comes back to LA and his FG% promptly jumps 5 points. Ariza averaged 5 points per game with the Knicks. Like I've said before, when Odom feels like it he's one of the best players in the NBA, when he doesn't.... Yeah, but Ariza was far from struggling to get off the bench as you said in NYC. I'm not shocked Fisher's FG% rose by that much. He's playing with a top 15 player of All Time, and one of the best PF-C combos in the NBA. Of course Kobe makes his players better, I'm just saying that Lebron has a lot less then Lebron to work with. Like I said Varajao as your starting PF? LMFAO! ok I agree with BB on this. Kobe definitely makes his players better, but the talent is really good as well. Not a knock on Kobe. I don't think he'd trade his team for any other team right now.

agree about Odom... talent coming out of his ears... drive comes out of his arse most of the time Its got to be the candy. Seriously, was that not one of the most ridiculous ESPN stories you have ever seen.

Youth is on his side with the Lakers. Boston had a great run last year and absolutely pummelled the Lakers, but they aren't getting younger and thus I don't think you'll see them back to the same place again.

The Lakers and the Celts have a pretty even chance to win an NBA Title in the next few years, but after 5 years Boston's NBA Champ hopes are done. Long term much better for Kobe, although I think in 5 years the Jail Blazers maybe the best team in the NBA.

As far as first game analysis. Orlando was ice cold from the perimeter and that affects their entire game. If LA extends their defense like this every game and plays with the discipline and precision offensively, then this will be a short series.

Wow I only got to see part of the game but it appeared that the Lakers were just too good for the Magic.
I think the Magic have to shoot the ball at a really good clip to beat the Lakers.
Kobe had 40 tonight. Pretty nice.

Hey toph you know how I always tell you that PSU Sucks. Well dude, it's nothing compared to the Buckeyes dude. Despite the fact that Ohio State probably has a 70% winning percentage on Wisconsin, I can always bring up the fact that Wisconsin is 3-1 in the last 4 trips to the Horse(Shit)Shoe. Toph, have you ever seen Lee Evans I got a highlight that I need to show you.
Oh and Cleveland....Nuff said.
Oh and
A Suckeye football player was almost killed yesterday in a tragic horse back riding accident. He fell from the horse and was nearly trampled to death. Luckily, the manager of the Wal-Mart came out and unplugged the horse.
Or
What do you call a genius sitting in the Ohio State student section?
Visitor.
Or
Why do Ohio State football players like smart women? Opposites attract.
Oh and Pryor throwing, yeah I want to see him "try" again this season.

Can we have another game already? What is up with this long layoff? It finally comes tonight!! I hate the layoffs as well. For the NBA Finals, Stern hates playing on Friday or Saturday. Guess he thinks it's a total ratings death trap. I'm not sure this Finals is going to get good ratings any day you play it.
