UT woke up last inning. Wow!
The LSU bats need to wake back up.

I also must say that I thought the curtain call in the bottom of the 4th after going up 2-1 was very bush league and weak.

I also must say that I thought the curtain call in the bottom of the 4th after going up 2-1 was very bush league and weak. That was very weak. As if 2 runs is going to be enough to beat LSU. Seriously. Maybe he will get one between the numbers next time he comes up to the plate.

Ruffin has fallen behind on a few hitters here. I would say the LSU hitter has to take until they get a strike, then try to lay down a sac bunt to move the runner in scoring position. But I am old school...

Wow. A guy who was 1-13 in the CWS swings at a 2-0 pitch, and makes an unproductive out. Another unproductive out, and a runner remains on first base with 2 outs.

LSU hitters maybe a little too free swinging with Ruffin struggling.

I'm just in shock! Not only because it was Coleman but because I have never seen a pitcher give up 3 straight homers! WTF?

UT runs came way to easy.....
LSU is putting no pressure on the UT Defense with the pop up / fly out outs.
Still only down 2 runs with meat coming up for the 3rd time thru.

I'm just in shock! Not only because it was Coleman but because I have never seen a pitcher give up 3 straight homers! WTF? The one to center wasn't a cheapie either. The allies and the carry at Omaha makes it easier to hit a HR there IMO. Coleman had looked so good keeping the ball down, and moving down (to get groundouts), then he missed high a few times and they drilled it. The other time he threw it low and in to a righty who has a swing plane down there (when up is the hole in his swing). LSU has been very aggressive at the plate, to their disadvantage thus far I think.

That is why I thought LSU would bunt to get a runner in scoring position where a single scores the runner. You are right GT, no pressure with popups, those are the really easy outs.

Coleman still has good stuff but not mixing his pitches up. His slider is his bread and butter, but he not using it to his advantage.
He also not getting ahead of the UT hitters.
He's a gamer though.
End of 5: LSU 1 UT 3

Since I'll get to watch little of this series.. Maybe some LSU fans can tell me what you think of Cubs' draft pick D.J. LeMahieu.

LSU puts pressure on the Texas defense with a hit and run, and is rewarded for the aggressive play and LSU has 1st and 3rd with 1 out.

Since I'll get to watch little of this series.. Maybe some LSU fans can tell me what you think of Cubs' draft pick D.J. LeMahieu. Very talented. He's young (red shirt soph) but has great skills. He's from Michigan and all all everyting in High School. He a SS by trade but has moved to 2nd base because of the highly touted freshman we have a SS. His arm is avg. which suites him well at 2nd. The Cubs really like LSU middle infielders..... ;D

Very bad strikeout by Mahtook Yep, that was bad. Put it in play and avoid a DP and you have a run there, that is manufactured (gotta have some those too). Now I think Texas will go with Austin Wood, the guy who threw almost 13 no hit innings out of the bullpen (and over 160 pitches) against BC. LSU doesn't love hitting off lefties, and Wood is a darn good one.

Im not very impressed with this Umps strike zone. He giving both pitchers 6 inches outside but nothing high or low. With pitchers as good as these guys, giving them that much makes them unhittable. Ruffin used it to his advantage, Coleman did not.

Wood is very tough with his awkward delivery. I would be impressed if Mitchell gets a hit off this tough lefty (he doesn't hit nearly as well against lefties, and the numbers show it). That chick with the LSU gear on that they just showed was pretty hot too. ;D

A hell of a swing by Mitchell, and got a triple easily. That kid can absolutely fly.

New Life. Coleman needs to deal this inning. They have their best hitters coming to the plate.
3 up 3 down would be huge.

Are you kidding me....another fucking curtain call? Yeah that was gay. That park is playing tiny right now and that ball that was a HR wasn't even hit all that well. More than 4 runs are going to have to be scored to win this one.
