a guy I think should be considered for the MVP (I don't they don't have one).
The guy is incredibly important to the Buckeyes. He plays the point at 6'7 because the Bucks don't have a true point guard. He turns the ball over a lot (too much) and the offense runs through him (a lot of pressure).
He has gotten 2 triple doubles this year and is a guy that can seriously play. He doesn't get a lot of recognition across the country, so I thought I would post this.

They do have an MVP Award, it's called the Naismith Award. So far he's had 3 Triple Doubles this year(I'm counting the 10 TO game vs UNC). This team would probably be an NIT team without the guy.

I like Evan Turner's game. As good as he is and BB is right, without him they probably struggle, but I hate the fact he has to play a hybrid point position. It is the reason for a bunch of TO's. I watched him against UNC and he looked like a fish out of water.
If he could play his more natural SF position, I think he'd be even that much better. But you gotta do what you gotta do. I just don't see the Buckeyes making a deep run in either the B10 or NCAA's if he has to play the point.
That opinion could change.

Evan is a great player, and he is definitely in the hunt for a MVP. He is one of the Big Tens finest.

It really is too bad that he has to play the point. He is a really great 3 guy. He rebounds well enough to play there, and is too good off the dribble for most 3's (in CBB).
One thing that playing the point does for...gives him another skill set for the next level in ballhandling more often.

He's very good, but unfortunately he still turns the ball over too much. Slight nit pick and really it's not his fault as he is playing out of position out of necessity. He is avg 5 TO's per game, including last night. Eventually against the really good teams that will cost them like it did against UNC when they forced him into 10.
He's a very unselfish player and that acutally is when he makes the mistake. Trying to force it to someone that might not be open.
I like his competitive spirit though.

Now Evan Turner is...out for 8 weeks with a couple of broken vertebra in his back. It was a nasty fall on a dunk attempt.
It is bad for Turner and his draft stock...but it is also tough on the Buckeyes who don't really have a facilitator like Turner. If they can get through the stretch without Turner it might help them in the postseason.
