There is nothing wrong with wearing those Sav, it is pretty hard to mess up jeans.

With me, it's not about people thinking I'm gay if I wear the things. It's about people thinking I'm stupid enough to pay $200 for a pair of blue jeans. That's what brings me back to women and gays. I guess it's one of my prejudices that only women and gays are so vain that they'll pay 4 to 5 times the price just to get a label on it that will impress only other people as vain as they are. By that I guess I mean that's not part of my identity, the vain part, not the gay part, and wearing ridiculously overpriced jeans with GUESS in 2 inch letters on a wannabee Levi's like label on the back sends out a message that is more about my wife than me.

it is not just about a label though. all jeans fit differently, and i will certainly pay for better fit.

I've tried these things on that she's bought and they don't fit better, they only fit different. Personally, I see nothing different in the fit between them and the knockoff Kirkland jeans sold at Costco. BTW, none of her arguments have included such angles as fit, it's all been about appearance.

well if the fit is the same, i say get what you want. if that is the non designers, so be it.
unless of course you ever want to have sex again, then get whatever your wife says

I don't particularly care what jeans I wear... I don't own any Wrangler or Rustler, but I do own a pair from Steve and Barry's that ran me about $8.99... I also own jeans (that my fiance bought me) that were priced over $100... I'm for comfort, and once I find a few pair that are comfortable, I wear them until they fall apart...

Jeans are all about comfort. The trick is to not wash them for a couple of weeks and they will break in perfectly. Personally, I think the Guess jeans are okay, but the CKs have got to go. Next thing you'll be telling us you are thinking of buying a hybrid. ;D (Kidding)

Damn - would that be Mrs BED If it is - I might be gaining new respect for bugeyes. Yes, that's Mrs. BuckeyeDave. I'm pretty happy right now because it's only about four weeks until the start of tan line season (we're going to Scottsdale for my daughter's spring break). Mmmmmmm...........

SAD:
It's about people thinking I'm stupid enough to pay $200 for a pair of blue jeans.
I do wear Levis but I don't buy new. There is a second hand store I go to. I'm not about to pay the high prices on new.

I can think of many things to do with $200 and buying a pair of jeans will never be one of them -
But if you can afford it and it makes sense to you - go for it -

Seems like the right place and the right time to me NCB -
But I really can think of better ways to spend $200 to put a pair of jeans on my "skinny fat ass" -

Nothing wrong with those jeans, Sad. Are Guess even considered designer? I don't know. Who cares though. If they fit right and feel right, that's all that matters.
