Real Madrid advanced to the semis in the Champions League. They beat Istanbul in both games to advance. Borussia Dortmund also advanced after scoring 2 goals in extra time to beat Malaga. Dortmund is the two time defending Bundesliga Champ which just lost their title to Bayern Munich last Saturday. Bayern Munich and FC Barcelona are both favored to win Wednesday over Juventus Turin and Paris St. Germain respectively. If that happens, we will have a unique semi with two German teams and two Spanish teams. Real Madrid is the most successful European club of all time and Bayern and Barcelona have won 7 titles between them (4/3).
