The national seeds will be announced today at 12:00. It will be interesting to see who gets the number 1 seed. I would go with North Carolina.

LSU at the #4 seed. UNC, Vandy, Oregon State at 1-3. Surprised the Tigers weren't the 3 seed but this seeding would mean LSU and Vandy could face off for the Championship.

As long as one is seeded - much easier trip to Omaha. The Tigers are in Alex Box for both the Regional and Super Regional games.

I don't disagree with you, but RPI rules in college baseball. At least it is settled on the field. One just has to navigate the Road to Omaha. And for the Tigers it goes through Alex Box Stadium and 10,000 cheering fans.

that was a weird situation. short rest, rained out the week before in his start, so he pitched 5 innings on a saturday or sunday, then came back on thursday in the hottest day of the year in baton rouge
he is 9-0 with a 1.99 era and rodon is 8-2 with a 3.48 era but that is deceiving he had 2 really tough outings. guy has stuck out 150 in 100 innings of work (or so)

we still have to win game 1 though for any of that to matter, and as up and down as we have been, who knows if that will happen

He has been terrific as a closer this year.

He was suspended from team for a violation. He will be re evaluated for the super regional, if LSU is in it. Wow - I wonder what he did.

LSU gives up 5 unearned runs in the first inning and comes back to win it 8 to 5. LSU trailed 5 to 4 but they scored 4 runs in the top of the eighth inning and Cotton closes it out. It looked bad early on for the Tigers, but they hung in to advance to the regional finals.

Finals of the regional's are underway. VT battled back through the loser bracket, but they have to defeat Oklahoma twice to win.

Liberty got a break yesterday. USC was up 4-2 and they were out of viable pitching but a storm suspension got them off the hook. Game will resume at 1 pm with USC leading 4-2 in the bottom of the 5th.

As an LSU, Im very thankful the NCAA was king to them in terms of talent (or lack thereof) in their region. Defensively, LSU looked awful this weekend after being one of the best D Teams all season. The suspension of Glenn coupled with a few injuries, had them all out of sorts. If they dont pull it together this week, they will be watching the CWS from Baton Rouge (which would be a complete shame).
One of the first years in a long time that I can remember so much chalk winning their regions. All #1's and Oklahoma at #2 have advanced to the Supers so far.

Did anyone catch the UNC, FAU game last night? Phenomenal game and UNC was very lucky their season isn't over this morning. Their pitching staff may be tapped out for their super.

Great game. Fau blew it twice. If UNC plays like that against us they will be sitting at home for the CWS.

Cody Glenn is back and he will help - Eades needs to regain in mid season form for the Tigers to have a chance to win the CWS. Bregman has picked up his hitting which had dropped off a little at season's end. JaCoby Jones needs to pick up his hitting after the hand injury. But LSU has a deep pitching staff which helps in tournaments when a team has to play a bunch of games. But you are right, the team which had been the best defensive team in LSU's history had a melt down. But I still like the Tigers -if they play like they did during the season. A very complete baseball team. The starting pitching, relief pitching, the closer, the team hitting and defense have been outstanding all year long. Geaux Tigers.
