Looks like the Bruins going to win this thing while staying undefeated. Miss State is deep trouble right now.

Looks like the Bruins going to win this thing while staying undefeated. Miss State is deep trouble right now. Sure, but only because of the ballpark. We all know the Bruins suck. Nevermind the fact that Mississippi State scored 14 runs in their first 3 games in Omaha and have only managed 1 run in 16+ innings against UCLA. It's all luck for the Bruins. And the stadium.

Damn dpb will go off topic to troll...that's great commitment. Notice you are the only person saying ucla sucks and it's luck. You can't just take one statement made by one poster and then just make shit up and troll with it...

You're welcome. I don't think anyone is disputing the fact that UCLA played the best and deserved to win. If they are maybe they are a bit delusional. That being said they either need to change the balls or move the fences in at TD park. There is nothing wrong with small ball, but TD park allows pitchers to make mistakes high in the strike zone with impunity. Hell Plutko was throwing belt high fastballs down the middle of the plate once he realized Miss State was too stupid to level their swings out. They need to change that because a huge part of baseball is pitching down in the strike zone to avoid home runs. There is nothing wrong with having a pitcher friendly park, but hitters need to be able to hit a home run when a pitcher leaves a hanger over the middle part of the plate.

The bats or the ball needs to be slightly adjusted to allow more home runs, especially if a pitcher makes a bad pitch. But hats off to UCLA, they had great pitching and played small ball to perfection. But the game needs a few home runs to excite the crowd.

Not really an excitement thing, just a need to balance the game.

Im not sure what to say, to me this is a complete contradiction

Why is it a contradiction? If its too tough hit home runs, then it doesn't matter if a pitcher leaves a belt high hanger or fastball in the middle of the plate. I think a pitcher should be punished for those mistakes...that's not the case in TD.

Cliff Notes
Pitcher throws belt high fast balls Hitters do not adjust Ball Parks fault

It's not the hitters fault it's almost impossible to hit home runs. It is their fault that they kept trying instead of leveling out and hitting singles. So you think in baseball pitchers should be able to pitch up in the strike zone without fear of giving up a home run?

So you think in baseball pitchers should be able to pitch up in the strike zone without fear of giving up a home run? I would like to see a few more home runs in college baseball. Nothing like the gorilla ball that was played when a pop up would leave the ball park, but a two or three run homer late in the game - could change the outcome of the game. UCLA would not have won the CWS this year if played at Rosenblatt, IMO.

There were some balls that were caught on the warning track, and they would have been dingers in Rosenblatt. Rosenblatt had shorter fences and usually favorable winds. That is why the talk of either changing the bats agains, the balls or maybe bringing in the fences. Home runs are part of the game. Everyone did play in the same stadium, but UCLA had the perfect team for the stadium. They are the 2013 champs and that cannot be changed. Way to geaux Bruins!
