Interesting, but why no schollie?
Either way, good luck to the kid.

It's an inspirational story, but he does have limitations. I think that is why Donovan is slow to offer him a scholarship. I noticed that those highlights were being repeated over and over. I am sure that there is also plenty of film that exploits his weaknesses. As a guard, one weakness would have to be his ball-handling skills, as he can not change hands while dribbling. That being said, I wish him the best, and if another school does offer up a schollie, I can't fault him for accepting it.

It looks like he is a pure shooter though...and with the constant ball screens that Billy D loves to run...rubbing off a defender to screen this kid open should not even cause a ripple in UF's play pool. NO ONE offered him a scholarship from what I understand. IF he comes to UF and develops...I'm sure that Billy D will give him a schalorship (if available) by the end of his sophomore season.

The article said UAB was offering a schollie.
