Vols blow another lead, led 6-2 at one point. Late pitching has almost cost us all year. With Auburn and South Carolina it isn't "almost costing us" it is costing us. 6-3 in the bottom of the ninth and we blow it!! No lead ever feels safe with this team. I will say i'd rather be where we are then where we were. This team has drastically improved. Vol fans need to just use perspective.

Gators beat LSU for the 2nd time today, 6-2. Looking for the sweep tomorrow.

So the statistical chance of winning down 3 with two outs in the ninth is 2.6% and we have now done it 3 times this year. We aren't playing that great right now however clutch performances are carrying the team. We need to get healthy and get our starting pitching back on track.

USC sweeps UT this past weekend. We have outscored opponents 55-8 in innings 7-9 and 21-4 in the 9th inning alone. Clutch hitting and pitching so far this season, hopefully that will continue.

USC caught the lsu disease and only scored 3 or 4 runs losing the series at Arkansas 2-1. Our best hitter is in a 2-31 slump.

See if the LSU bats remain hot against Lamar tonight. Tigers host the Hogs this weekend.

The Tiger bats were not too active tonight with the Tigers getting only four hits but they did score five runs and won 5 to 0 over Lamar. Timely hits they were, but the bats are going to have to be more active this weekend against the Hogs.

LSU gets past the Hogs 5 to 3. Aaron Nola gets the win with 13 strikeouts in 7 innings. The Tiger bats are still not ringing - 5 hits.
But bottom line, Tigers get the win.

Despite making 5 errors, the Gators beat South Carolina, 6-5, to take the weekend series, 2-1. This youthful Gator squad has been knocking off highly ranked teams all year, sweeping FSU & LSU. They might be real good next year.

Georgia Tech defeated Georgia 4-1 last night in frigid conditions at Russ Chandler Stadium. The Jackets are now 9-1 in the past 10 games, with the only loss coming against the formerly #2 ranked Florida State Seminoles, who avoided a series sweep on Sunday against the white hot Ramblin Wreck. Tech heads to College Park, Maryland, this weekend to face the 21-13 Terrapins in their final season in the ACC.

Tigers and Rebels are on ESPNU tomorrow night. Should be a good series. Ole Miss is playing very good baseball right now and they are very tough in Oxford. RR was down on his team early on, but should be pround of them now. Big series in SEC west as Ole Miss is in 2nd place and LSU 1/2 game behind them.
