Two of the most successful teams in the history of European Soccer kick it off in Bernabeau Stadium in Madrid on Wednesday. Real has won 9 European Championships and finished runner up 3 times. Bayern has won the title 5 times and finished second 5 times. A.C. Milan has won the championship 7 times and Liverpool has won it 5 times like Bayern. Ajax Amsterdam and F.C. Barcelona have each taken the trophy home 4 times.
Bayern won the championship last year beating Dortmund in Wembley Stadium. In the semis last year, Bayern routed Barcelona while Dortmund did the same to Real in a rare all German-Spanish semi-final.

Better game than yesterday's but not really very good either. Real wins 1-0 and Bayern is in a bit of trouble. They have to win in Munich either 1-0 or if Madrid scores, by 2 goals. Not a terrible result for my boys, but they don't look very good right now...in fact haven't since clinching the Bundesliga 5 weeks ago.

CONCACAF Champions League final is on Fox Sports 1 tonight. BTW, 1-1 draw with Cruz Azul and Toluca, but Cruz Azul wins the league. Bigdawgs, do you know how futbol jerseys fit? Thought about ordering one online, but I'm worried it'll end up being too tight. Are they stretchy, or maybe fit like a "normal" t-shirt?

I think they are a bit tight, but that may only be the ones I have tried. I do know that European sizes tend to be smaller. If you wear an L in the States, you probably need an XL in one coming from Europe. I got my nephews Internazionale Milano and Bayern Munich jersies and I had to get them one size bigger and they were still snug.

Thanks. My t-shirts should be L, but I prefer them XL.

Thanks. My t-shirts should be L, but I prefer them XL. Then you might actually want an XXL if you are getting a European jersey/tee.

Bayern hosting Real. The Germans must win by two goals if Real scores in the game due to away goals counting twice. They are underway in Munich. Real won 1-0 last week in Madrid.

Real Madrid jumps ahead 1-0 and Bayern is in a world of hurt now. They must hold Real scoreless and score 3 themselves. Big trouble. And now Ramos just scores again to lead 2-0. That just about seals it with 70 minutes to play.

Wow, barring a miracle Bayern is done. Would be cool to see Athletico-Real in the Finals.

You got that right and it was almost 4-0. Bayern hasn't looked worth a crap for a month. Before that they were amazingly good. Bayern defense has been horrific leaving Neuer with no chance at all.

And of course all Real does is delay and go down at the least contact. This is why a lot of Americans don't like the sport. Legitimate time keeping would help. But Real has been the much better team, no doubt about it.
