LSU defeated Kansas 4 to 1 last night. The Tigers got a good pitching performance from Jared Poche, a lefthanded sophmore. He will be the Friday night starter for the Tigers.
Alex Lange a freshman will start for the Tigers tonight. He is suppose to be pretty good. The Tigers success will depend upon young arms this year. No Nola this year.

LSU defeated Kansas today 8 to 5. Big run innings today - LSU put up 7 runs and Kansas a 4 run inning. The win gave the Tigers the weekend series.

The Phillies lost a couple of weeks ago to the DII defending NC U of Tampa. Going to be a long season for the Phils. On a side note, I can't see something like that happening in any other pro sport.

Golf? Ah yes of course. Was thinking more of team sports. Like as good as Kentucky is, I still don't see them beating the Sixers this year who are historically bad.

Ah yes of course. Was thinking more of team sports. Like as good as Kentucky is, I still don't see them beating the Sixers this year who are historically bad. This was talked about today on ESPN. SMU's corch, Brown, said KY would be a playoff team if they were in the NBA Eastern Conf. Laughable, really. ESPN cked with a vegas odds maker and, against the worse team in the NBA (NY), they would be a 15 dog. Kinda like people use to say Alabama could win the AFC south some years.

Back to the topic, first time in LSU's history that the Mens Baseball and Womans Softball teams are both ranked #1 in the same week.

Gators win their Regional and will host a Super Regional matchup, probably with FSU if the Noles can take care of business tomorrow. On a second note, the Lady Gators have moved into the Championship series against Michigan. They will be trying to repeat as WCWS Champions.
