This one is setting up as a typical TWLOCP.
It was 30 years ago when UF just became ranked #1 in the polls for the first time ever, after beating Auburn, that they came roaring into this game, ready to take on the world.
UF marched up and down the field on UGA with ease in that game, at least between the 20 yard lines. UGA had 2 running backs each run for more than 100 yards in that game, and won it 24 - 3
In 2012, UF under Muschump, came into the game undefeated. UGA wins 17 - 9.
Last year, there was no way it was going to be possible for hapless UF to win. Some how, UF won that game going away.
So far this year, what always happens has happened: UF always beat Kentucky UF almost always beats UT LSU almost always successfully completes a fake field goal against UF, and beats UF. UGA has usually historically beaten UF to keep them out of SEC contention.
Why should this year be any different?

I expect an easy Gator win, I'll say 38-13. -1 I'm not happy about it, I just think the offense is so bad we'll give up 10-14 points in turnovers and bad field position with our crappy punting. With our constant 3 and outs our defense will be worn out in the 4th quarter.

UF is at the bottom of the SEC for giving up sacks. They have given up 20. UGA has only given up 8. UGA is 2nd in the SEC in redzone defense.
UF has an ailing starting kicker, who is backed up by a walk on kicker that just won a tweeting call last week as the back-up kicker.
I'm about as confident as I can be that UGA will be winning this game.

I'm thinking this week will be awesome- the two fanbases who outwardly have the least faith in their teams, arguing over which team is going to lose.

I'm thinking this week will be awesome- the two fanbases who outwardly have the least faith in their teams, arguing over which team is going to lose. The heartbreak in this game runs deep with me. My Momma's a Dawg, and so is her sister (my Aunt). Both their husbands (My late father and late uncle) were UF alumni. They used to go to that game together every year. It was a big party. No kids allowed. I grew up a Gator fan, and have gone to UF games since the 70's. But I pulled for UGA in every other game. I was a big Hershel Walker fan and Vince Dooley fan. When it came to TWLOCP, I hated all the Dawgs. As a young teenager, I was finally allowed to go to my first WLOCP. 1980. Belue to Scott. I was in college in 1985. 2007, the St John's River Dance, was my father's last WLOCP. I sure hope that UF wins this game, but my history of it is a lot of heart break.

Now hold on a cotton picking' minute here. Ye' of little faith. I will carry the damn torch for the Georgia Bulldogs, along with this fifth of bourbon, but I am not going down that "negative nancy" bull crap path so many of you are traveling down. Might as well NOT act like everyone else around here and am thinking UGA DOES win this game. I have a feeling Mr Harris might become a wee bit(gets his ass handed to him on a play, or three) gimpy after our fired up D takes care of business. Fuck those future wallets, boots and hand bags. Damn, I hate orange, and Gator orange is the worse.
The hell with all y'all if you are going to be that way. I am a one man Dawg pack. Now, drink this shot of Jagger with me. I promise, no "roofies"! Go DAWGS!!!

2003 was the one year I actually attended the WLOCP. I made the mistake of assuming I was going to find a hotel. :-) At about 3:00 a.m. at a bottle club, some nice locals invited me to sleep at their place, and they made me pancakes before my drive home. Gators lost that year. Which is why I haven't gone back.
Good pancakes though.

Hey if you come up BD and his travel companions usually meat up at Hooters at the Landing on Friday Night. I try to make it (missed last year). Still do not know about this year but I am going to try hard. Motorcycle repairs and two trips to Biktoberfest hurt my discretionary spending account.

Just wait until BD chimes in Here in Rome, Calligula is giving thumbs down to the chances of the Red Clay hounds. He is sending me to see the event, hoping to secure the game for the Coliseum next year. He emphasized that the Eternal City is truly a neutral site and that the she wolf who nursed Romulus and Remus would not tabor the Dawgs. My delegation arrives in Atlanta Wednesday pm aboard Barbarian Airlines (aka Lufthansa). Forza Rosa et Nero.
