See you guys there ! Oh wait, no i wont, because none of you losers got tickets !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Black Keys Announce Three-City ‘World Tour’ Blues-rock duo will play intimate theaters in three U.S. cities named after foreign citiesThe Black Keys will perform at three intimate theaters in U.S. cities named after foreign cities when the blues-rock duo embarks on their “World Tour” in September. Singer-guitarist Dan Auerbach and drummer Patrick Carney will play Athens, Georgia; St. Petersburg, Florida; and Oxford, Mississippi. Carney acknowledged the cheekiness of the idea in a press release on Wednesday. “Dan and I have joked about doing a tour of American cities named after other cities in the world since we were touring together in a van. It feels like now is as good a time as any and we are excited to play in some places we haven’t played in since the early days of the band and for fans that have not had a chance to see us in a while,” he said. The Black Keys will play a pair of 2,000-capacity rooms (Athens’ Classic Center, St. Petersburg’s Jannus Live) and a 1,000-capacity hall (Oxford’s Lyric). The three shows lead up to the group’s headlining appearance at the 2021 Pilgrimage Festival outside Nashville the weekend of September 25th and 26th (see tickets here). The “World Tour” gigs will lean on the Keys’ latest album, Delta Kream, a collection of Hill Country blues covers by Junior Kimbrough and R.L. Burnside. “They were so pivotal in our careers, Pat and I. It’s what brought us together. It was the concentric circle, where on the outside, he and I liked totally different things, but in the middle it was Junior and R.L. We could drive down the highway all night and listen to them. It was just endless inspiration for us,” Auerbach told Rolling Stone earlier this summer. In addition to the tour, the Black Keys have partnered with the Save the Music Foundation, the organization that supports elementary and middle-school music programs. Together they’ll work to bring music education and instruments to schools in Mississippi’s Hill Country. Tickets for the World Tour go on sale Friday, July 23rd at 10 a.m. local time on the band’s website and Ticketmaster.com. You can also find tickets at VividSeats.com. The Black Keys’ World Tour Dates: September 20 — Athens, GA @ The Classic Center September 21 — St Petersburg, FL @ Jannus Live September 23 — Oxford, MS @ The Lyric

I like very few bands that have come out in the last 20 years. Black Keys are one of them. I haven't listened to everything, but I've liked everything that I've heard.
Cage the Elephant is probably the best band I've heard as far as anything that's come out in the last 20 years.

Never heard of them. Just listened to some of both. I like Greta Van Fleet. It's crazy how much the lead singer sounds like Robert Plant in The Highway Song". Rival Sons is not bad at all. Definitely better than the majority of recent groups. Some of Cage the Elephant has a retro acid rock feel to it. Especially "Come a Little Closer" which is my favorite from them.

I've never been a big Indie guy, but I really liked Modest Mouse as well.

Louis Armstrong is one of my all-time favs. Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Duke Ellington. Then there's Muddy Waters, Clapton and Robert Johnson. Believe it or not, the first music I really started listening to in the 80's were groups from the 50's and 60's like the Drifters, Gene Chandler, the Turtles, Temptations and the four seasons

He was huge in my high school days. Into the 60's I listened to music but really couldn't tell you who was playing the songs. I had listened to John Fogerty for years before I really knew who he was. Now one of my favorites. And he still has almost the same voice as he did back then.

I have 2 Alvarez (Artist and Masterworks series, would love to find a Yari) acoustics, a Gretsch hollow body electric and 4 other assorted guitars. I have recently got rid of a couple.

I have 3 electric. I may buy one from you if you're looking to sell one. Maybe not right now, I'm just getting back into it little by little. I wish I didn't sit it down for so long. It was at my Mother's for so long, I honestly forgot I still had it until about a year ago.

So, a freaking awesome show. This dude opened for them... en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Robert_Finley_(musician)Good story really, unfortunately he only sang and played no guitar, not sure why. The Black Keys were great, especially in a small venue. when we got to our seats we started chatting with the 2 younger ladies behind us, it went like this.... "are you excited?" yes ma'am "have you seen them before, this is our first time seeing them!" yes, i saw them in 2003. "oh, wow, i was 3 years old....."

One of the best composers IMO his music is timeless and could be arranged for modern times was George Gershwin. If you listen to his music it could have been written for a guitar and modern band.
