The Patriots let Cam Newton go. Makes me wonder if along with the money drugs came along. Don't know why they let him go yet. Sorry put this in the wrong place, Mod please move it.

Drugs? Why are we speculating that Cam is a drug abuser? Did I miss something?

Drugs? Why are we speculating that Cam is a drug abuser? Did I miss something? No just wondering what the problem with Cam might be. Money does that to many professional sports and celebrity, mostly those in music for some reason. I'm sure if I had made big money when I was 20 I would have bought my demise by now.

A couple of factors in play with releasing Cam Newton rather than keeping him on as the Patriots' backup: His command of the locker room, and his vaccination status. Neither make him an ideal choice as a backup behind a rookie QB
That was from a local Boston reporter.
