Whistling Straits - Sept. 24-26 Auto Qualifiers 1. Collin Morikawa 2. Dustin Johnson 3. Bryson DeChambeau 4. Brooks Koepka 5. Justin Thomas 6. Patrick Cantlay Captain’s choices -- Tony Finau (No. 7 in the U.S. rankings) -- Xander Schauffele (No. 8) -- Jordan Spieth (No. 9) -- Harris English (No. 10) -- Daniel Berger (No. 12) -- Scottie Scheffler (No. 14) Gonna miss Patrick Reed who was No. 11 in the standing. Dude lives for the competition of Match Play. Wonder if his recent bout with double Pneumonia has something to do with him not being picked. The Europeans have thru this weeks BMW Championship before finalizing their team. So far, 5 have already qualified... Jon Rahm Tommy Fleetwood Rory McIlroy Paul Casey Viktor Hovland Tyrrell Hatton Bernd Wiesberger Sergio Garcia Shane Lowry Ian Poulter Matt Fitzpatrick Lee Westwood

Kevin Na and Kevin Kisner not being picked are questionable. But all his other picks are playing solid right now too. Every captain's pick part of the process always has questions around it. GO USA

Nice looking golf course. Agreed. But I've yet to find a brand of golf balls that isn't hell bent on finding water. Any suggestions?

Man, looking at the American team I'm not seeing but a couple of emotional players. Although young and talented, the Ryder Cup is all about momentum and emotion which bleeds into the crowd to create more emotion.
Other than Justin and then maybe Jordan and Bryson, the team is full of poker faces.

But, you got me thinking.....how about put water on the ranges...give us a chance to get the water voodoo out of our heads before we tee off.

Got a question for some of you really good golfers. I know they say Whistling Straits is not a real links course, even though it has some of the trademarks of such. Seems odd that the US would pick a location that might make the Euros more comfortable. Any merit to this or it doesn't really matter?

These are the best golfers in the world and can play in a Jungle if they had to. They've set to course up for the Bombers on the US Teams. Its also not a true links style which typically plays to more bumps, runs, and very low to the ground rather than through the air. JMO

So Far, Rahm is proving he's the #1 player in the World and Garcia is proving he's one of the Best Ryder Cup players ever.
Pretty solid Golf so far. Justin Thomas continues to underwhelm when it counts.

This has been fun to watch. Amazing views on the course, challenging winds, some great shots. A lot of great shots followed by great responses from the other side. Almost an ace right now on #12, and it might not even win the hole. This is entertaining stuff.
