From Dandy Don's website:
"Officials are set to pass a one-year waiver next month to immediately expand the 25-man football signing limit, according to Ross Dellinger of Sports Illustrated. The new rule would allow coaches to replace up to seven players who leave for the portal. The maximum signing limit would become 32 (25+7). We think this great and very much needed."
Thoughts on the expanded signing limit?
The rich get richer - but the portal rule means a lot of traffic from college to college.
I will have to look it up - but is there a limit on how many times a player can transfer?

I thought it was they were allowed to transfer one time without having to sit out a year, is that still in play?

From what I heard on the internet radio podcast thing, is if a team has 7 or more transfer out, then they can recruit more high school players in a given year.
Kind of seems as if they are trying to get back to putting an emphasis on high school recruiting

What it will mean - the top schools will end up with more 5 star and 4 star recruits than they did before. And the other teams will get less of those players.

Some former 4 and 5 star recruits that go to the big schools that don’t start right away will go into the transfer portal and go to other schools. Other schools can choose to look into the transfer portal to get guys, or go to high schools to find them.

It is going to be a mess, IMO.
And then throw in NIL - a real mess.
Say Bama, Georgia, Ohio State and others need a player - offer a huge NIL offer to a player on another team to transfer to your school and your need is filled.
Pandora's box has been opened.

Pandora's box has been opened. been echoing this since NIL was first thought of.... mixed with the Portal its complete Free Agency..... But now... if you have 7 Players of the 85 that have ben there for a couple years... not bloomed... you can simply "HAZE" them into he Portal.... then they leave, and you get 7 new players... a couple of years of doing that and you would essnentlly flip your foster a full years worth of Extra HS recruits.
