Notre Dame's next 5 opponents have an open date before the game...Wisky, Cincinnati, UNC, USC and Va Tech. Two weeks later, UVA has same after Irish game with Navy.

That’s definitely something that has caught my attention. But if ND doesn’t start playing better and showing some type of offensive improvement, I’m not sure it will matter much. I do think it’s an interesting thing to look at, but ND has to improve what they’re doing and not worry about what their opponents are doing.

Georgia also two years ago, Bama was very notable about 7 or 8 years ago. SEC office moved to monitor it. But in 2019 Mizzou, Tennessee, South Carolina, Auburn and Florida had off before the Georgia game. Oddly, or not, every single ACC opponent has the week off before the game against the Irish. Seems like an odd way of trying to get them to join your conference.

Hell, I thought this thread was going to be about the Dawgs having their bye before the Cocktail Party, so they could rest up and prepare for that arduous 2 hour plane ride to Jax.

I thought the thread was going to be about the Gators lobbying the SEC for a bye week to celebrate a close loss to bask in its warm glow the media has given it a little longer.

COME ON MAN (as the Coward and Thief would say), everybody knows that the DAWGS have to hike from the campus over to the Savana River. Then they have to swim with the current down to the Atlantic ocean. Once they reach the Atlantic, they have to swim in shark infested waters against the current of the Gulf Stream all the way down to Jacksonville. Then the have to swim against the current of the St Johns River until they get close to the beach. Once they reach the breakers of the Beach they have to fight their way through the Rip Tides to get into Jax Beach. After that they have to run through Arlington and East Jax with all of the gun fire and crime in hopes of making it to the stadium in time for kick off.

You would think, that all these many years later, Florida fans would finally be able to pass the reptile identification class, but alas......
