Seriously, this is not a "people of Georgia" consuming issue at all. It is this fucking moron being a loud mouth. Georgia, the school, or any of its representation, is not pushing for any of this, nor is their Coach going on television whining about nary a thing in relation to presenting anything to try and get into the POs. It is ridiculous.

I seem to remember Kirby saying they belonged in an interview. With the selection like it is, I can't honestly say anyone is wrong. What color is their jersey again?

He said it during the annual lobbying. Hasn't said it or even talked it up since the decision made. He was asked if he thought Georgia was one of the 4 best teams and he said yeah. Then he focused on recruiting...obviously. Other than the normal folks that every fan base has, it has hardly been an issue here. Bama won. There are only 4 spots and under this system, if FSU was not going then Bama was next most viable option.

I also think that results on the field matter. The Orange Bowel is a tale of polar opposites in that respect. One of the four best teams and one that had the results with a comparable schedule. If the names on the jersey was changed, FSU would have been in. That is my opinion, with lots of history to back it.

Every coach on the planet that finished 5th, 6th or maybe even lower, says it every time. It is their job. Not to do it would be failure on their part. The key is, after it is over to focus on the next thing at hand. And next year, the coaches who finish 13th, 14th, 15th and so on are going to say the exact same thing.

Can't do better than winning every game on your schedule. That is a coaches job, winning. Having such an absurd method to determine participants in a playoff is the problem, not a coach complaining about it.

Matt Zenitz @mzenitz Some of the players that FSU will be without in the Orange Bowl vs. Georgia: QB Jordan Travis (injury) RB Trey Benson (opt out) WR Keon Coleman (opt out) WR Johnny Wilson (opt out) TE Jaheim Bell (opt out) DL Jared Verse (opt out) DL Fabien Lovett (opt out) LB DJ Lundy (transfer)

So far, the only Georgia opt outs are transfer portal guys. That could change as some of them are looking at the NFL situation. I know in his heart, Bowers wants to play. I also know that there are a bunch of people in his ear telling him not to.
With that many key players out for FSU, UGA is in a no win situation. Lose and it will be embarrassing. Win and we know the reason. Blow them out and you become the real bad guy. Strange feeling a week out.

After the antics of the FSU program, I pray for a TCU-type game as I want FSU embarrassed for their actions for acting like a bunch of bishes. I only hope Georgia can answer my "prayers"!

What ever happened to "For the love of the Game?" I can remember the days of the pure amateur. Especially the ones who trained to complete in the Olympic Games. Train for years to try and earn a gold medal. But thanks to the communists for spoiling all of that.

I do not understand this at all. Having a little "fun" with this, but them now doing all they can to bail on the ACC, all the opt outs(boycotting??), etc. is just grinding on me. If they want access to the 12 team Playoff, the easier path is to remain with the ACC. But, instead, they got dealt a raw blow and now they want to take their ball and leave? You may accept such, but I want a little "going away party" for them if this is the path they choose, and how they are choosing it, to finish off this crazy season. What you should ask is what I really think about FSU being left out and how I feel about the CFP Committee, and all the politics involved in that bullshit. It is on a similar level of disgust. But, this was a unique year and it was going to piss someone off and they chose it to be FSU, not Alabama. And to think, all Auburn had to do was defend one pass play that had to go 31 yards and didn't.

Or Kirby Smart using a timeout to allow an overturn of that miscalled 4th down completion that gave Bama a touchdown before half. And the ACC hardly helped FSU when they are one of the 3 "grand alliance" conferences that delayed out of spite the very 12 team playoff so many yearn for. That is smack on the ACC.

Shitzzz, there have been a few teams that finished in 5th place for the NC playoffs that maybe deserved deserved to be in them. I feel for FSU, but I felt all along that Bama would vault over them into the playoffs after they defeated the Dawgs in the SEC championship. Heck it is all the Dawgs fault - it they had defeated Bama - FSU would have been in them. Georgia Michigan Washington FSU

They want to transfer to a conference that has a chance instead of one that is treated like a second class citizen. Imagine a world where all conferences had an opportunity.

Don't bad calls happen all the time and rarely effect the outcome of a game? I do agree, it was a bad call, and even worse coaching decision, but they had an entire half to make it up. Imagine if you played them every year, you might sound like Davdi.

I haven't said one word about the officiating in that game. My point was that FSU had legit gripe a nd I disagreed with Tim.

My glasses don't help much. as you can see on my post over in the non politics board confusing Erock and Elapid which GT correctly called me on. As for FSU, I think they had a legitimate argument and should complain. That the ACC didn't handle the Alliance thing very well and thus the 12 team playoff got delayed a year (thank God btw), does not change the fact they got screwed. And I am fairly certain that had Auburn stopped the Bama TD, Georgia would be the one going instead of FSU. The committee was bound and determined not to let the Noles in without their QB.

Apparently he got pissed because FSU has been looking for a quarterback in the portal. Felt the window for him would have been too condensed for him if he played in the Orange Bowl. What an absolutely screwed up system we have right now. I understand the money. I understand the desire to play. I don't understand the complete disregard for your team...totally foreign to what I did for most of my life.

Basically 180 degress on the concepts that existed in my growing up. But athletes are now like most politicians - after the all mighty dollar. Don't get me wrong - one needs dollars to live - but not rule your life.
