As a fan of College Baseball, you have to experience the box at least once.

Probably not too many minor league stadiums better than the new Box.

Where is it exactly? Across the street, by the old golf course, vet parking lot?

Yes, it is down Nicholson toward the Golf Course.
The old Box was right accross the street from Tiger Stadium.
The new Box is about 2 blocks down from that. You can see Tiger Stadium upper left corner to give you some prespective.

Nice stadium.
USCe and Ole Miss have ones that are just as nice right?

When I went to USCe I couldnt find their baseball stadium, but Ole Miss is not as nice as that. That park is quite possibly the best in the SEC. Between the structure, the lighting, and just taking a wild guess at all the amenitites judging by the outside, that is king shit in the SEC and probably nationally. The old Box was right on par with the rest of the SEC, at least what I have seen, which is more than half, so this puts it head and shoulders above anything else.

Nice stadium. USCe and Ole Miss have ones that are just as nice right? Actually, Zach, Ole Miss just completed a very nice stadium a few years back. I wouldn't say its nicer than Alex Box but may be top 10-15 in the Country. Ive never been to USCe, so I can not comment.

I think USCe just put up a new stadium. I could be wrong though.

That place is freaking awesome! I have been to Bill Davis stadium a number of times, and went there for a workout/camp. I will be going there in a couple of weeks to watch the Bucks take on Michigan State. That stadium LSU has is incredible though.

Bama's baseball stadium sucks in comparision.
Their program isn't taken nearly as seriously as LSU's baseball team.
There are weird rules in CBB though. Some teams, due to the state, are allowed to have more scholarship players than other teams from my understanding.
It is kinda small fries to me as majority of good players go to the minors out of HS. I would gladly trade Bama Baseball never winning a baseball game again for a few NCs in football.

Pretty amazing that you guys have parks like those to play College Baseball in... Hawley Field (WVU's home field) isn't even in the same ballpark (no pun intended) when it comes to these places... Do your baseball programs generate money for the university? I'm assuming they do for these stadiums...

LSU avgs. about 8,000 fans at home and for SEC Play, could reach over 10,000 easy.

Amazing... I know at WVU, only men's basketball and football make money... everything else costs the university money in upkeep of facilities and travel and equipment... WVU probably averages less than 1,000 for a home baseball game... most likely even under 500... it's tough to get people to watch baseball in Morgantown in March and April...

It wasn't before, but it is now. Standing room is about 9k compared to 6k for the Sarge and we have the luxury boxes. They say this first year they are expecting about 800k in the black, and more next year as they fill all the luxury boxes and finish the entire baseball park. They are also still looking for a corporate sponsor for about the price tag of 1.5-2 mill a year.

The New Alex Box Stadium (9,200)
The Alex Box Stadium experience is a unique one, created by the greatest and most loyal fans in all of college baseball, combined with an enduring legacy of championships.
In February 2009, the LSU Baseball program moves into a new home, and all of the traditions, memories and excitement that make Tiger baseball truly special will live on in the New Alex Box Stadium.
From LSU’s first SEC title team in ‘39, to Bruce Baudier’s perfect game, to Rich Cordani’s game-winning home run against Southern Cal, to the regional championship victory laps of the 1990s, Alex Box Stadium has been home to some of the greatest moments in all of college baseball history.
Now the LSU baseball legacy moves 200 yards to the south into a state-of-the-art facility, designed to provide the resources necessary to sustain LSU’s tradition of excellence while also accommodating in comfort the record-setting crowds that set Tiger Baseball apart from the rest of America.
In the New Box, the Tiger baseball team enjoys 6,000 additional square-feet of locker and meeting room space, new batting cages and all the amenities necessary to field a consistent winner.
A brand new home has opened for a grand old tradition ... LSU Baseball at Alex Box Stadium.

That's the key Geaux. Gate receipts are nice, but the real money comes from businesses, boxes, advertising etc. I would love to take in a game down there but that is a long fucking drive.
