was a damn fine show... for what it was. No complaints. Different then the Dead, but definitely know what a mainstream act gathers here in Charlotte. They were in to it. Anyway... I had a good time. Here is my man card. Just let me know when I get it back. I am out of here...

I've seen them several times at Jazz Fest in New Orleans and walked away impressed each time.

If anyone would appreciate, I would assume you, Red. When are we going to hit a show together? As I know, we would have a damn fine time...!!!

No idea man but we certainly need to. Our taste in music parallel each other for sure. We should try to catch something at Red Rocks someday.

I tell you what NCB, I'd love to catch a Toubab Krewe show. That would be a good one for us to check out.

I have a buddy up here in CO that you would thoroughly enjoy catching a show with too NCB. He's such a cool person to talk with and he's really open to music like us. I'm planning on catching the Telluride Jazz Fest with him this year. You're welcome to join.

I'm right with you guys on music taste, but I have to disagree about Dave Matthews... I'm not a fan but heard they put on a good show... I'm just not willing to pay $75 to find out b/c I don't like their music for the most part...

Definite revokage of man card if you chose Matthews over Molly Hatchet.

Definite revokage of man card if you chose Matthews over Molly Hatchet. Says the guy in the Molly Hatchet tribute band.... ;D Guys, I am with you on Dave. Great show, and great albums too. There are a lot of different noises that fit in pretty well together. BUT, there was a time in the late-90s where he was so coked up that he gritted his teeth, growled the words, and played the same 2 chords all night. Those shows weren't so hot....

One of the better shows that I saw was when Dave Matthews came back and played a club in Richmond that he used to play when he was starting out. This was 10 years ago, when he was huge, but the club owner was good friends with him and Dave did it as a favor. It was cool. About 500 of us total and he did an accoustical show.

I saw Dave when I was in college ( around 2000 ), and it was pretty good. It is okay with me if you get your man card back now.

Dave was good until somewhere around 2001-2002. Live at the Red Rocks was one of my favorite CD's for awhile, but then I got a bit tired of all of his gibberish. There are still some songs I can listen to every now and then, but for the most part he's dead to me. With the exception of their new radio friendly crap, I'll take OAR as the live band of choice. I've been to 5 of their concerts and had a blast at everyone.

It's understandable. Almost everyone in/from/or attending Georgia likes Dave and the Dawgs. I think I was the only person at my HS (Gainesville Ga) that didn't like either.

I am going to see them with my wife in October, and I have seen them 3 other times. They are a great live band. No man card needed IMO.

I am not reading what anyone else wrote. (I assume you went to the show here in Raleigh the other night) but unless you were there on a date be it wife or GF I question your taste in music. I hate and I stress HATE DMB and his following. But that is just my opinion I am glad you had fun......

I have seen them 6 times now in 3 different cities. Always a great show, was going to catch them tonight in Nashville, but decided to do something else. No man card being revoked from me, that's for sure...
