In the wake of University of Florida wideout Percy Harvin reportedly testing positive for marijuana at the NFL Combine, there are now legitimate questions and rampant speculation about whether Harvin also tested positive for drugs at Florida. Let's face it, if Harvin is stupid enough to potentially cost himself millions of dollars by smoking dope before this weekend's NFL Draft, isn't he also dumb enough to smoke pot before the LSU game? The message board doubters are wondering now whether Urban Meyer and UF's coaching staff covered for Harvin at UF, when he mysteriously missed two games during his sophomore year, ostensibly because he suffered from migraines. I don't know about you, but I can still remember the first thought that popped into my head back then was this: What football player misses a big game because of a headache?

Have you ever had a REAL migraine? Trust me, they can knock your dick in the dirt. If he suffered from migraines like I get, I understand, totally.

I have no doubt that he smoked while he was at UF. He just didn't start before the draft.

Ask yourself this....if Urban booted Marcus Thomas off the team BEFORE the SEC title game and BEFORE the NC Game.....for smoking weed and breaking curfew......do you think he would have a double standard for another player?
We went undefeated without Percy.....so I don't think Urban logically could have covered for Harvin.
I know most HOPE it would be true....but it is doubtful....very doubtful....

He may have, but there will be no solid proof uncovered, so nothing will come of this.
Not saying it's not possible, just not provable.

It's no secret in Va....Harvin smoked pot. I don't even fault him for that, it's just how good is your judgment knowing when you'll be tested with so much on the line? He's either dumb or he has a problem....or both.

I'm sure he thought UF was actually testing his urine he submitted for testing. He thought he was staying clean all this time which is why he failed his first real test.

I just can't see how he would be dumb enough to fail a drug test that he knows is coming up for the NFL draft with millions on the line, but not dumb enough to never fail one in 3 years at UF.

It was migranes at first, but I think I remember it being a misdiagnosis and it ended up being a sinus infection. Greek? Remember this?

It was both....
And again....not saying he didn't smoke weed at UF.....but he had to pee like everyone else....so he either went to testklear.com or had such a huge warning BEFORE they were tested, he abstained. It was probably the former....because he could seem to abstain with millions on the line and a heads up.....
Regardless....I just can't see Urban "covering" for any kid and allowing a player to smoke pot carte-blanche.....

Well if Florida and, Meyer suspended one of their players because, of weed im sure Meyer would of done the same for Percy. I highly doubt Meyer would cover up for one of his players because, they smoked the reefer. Meyer is a tolerable coach and, he wouldn't let a player off the hook for something like that im sure. But then again "as fans" we don't know what goes on behind closed doors.
Im not saying Meyer covered up for Percy at all. Im just saying we don't know what truly goes on behind closed doors.

I do think that Percy Harvin, who some thought was the one player besides Tebow that was absolutely indispensable to Florida's success, could have been given special treatment.
That's not to call out Coach Meyer specifically. I think all coaches do it. I remember years ago before their title game Janikowski and some 2nd string LB were caught out after curfew. Bowden suspended Janikowski for 1 quarter, the LB for a half. When asked about whether or not Bowden was exercising favoritism he replied, "It sure looks like it, doesn't it?"

I don't hope or care at all if it's true. But Marcus Thomas is not Percy Harvin. Hell, If Percy didn't play on the same team as Tebow he would have been a legit Heisman contender. But this stuff isn't important. School drug tests are not needed to be made public. I'm pretty sure tOSU players have tested positive and they were suspended for a couple games, for "unspecified violations".
