I thought I would start a class for those on here that lived the dorm life, or are single and have to cook for themseleves without the need of a clue. Let us experienced folks throw in yer recipes to help out those who boil water, but not much else.
Gourmet can cooking will be my first subject. Simply take a can of yer favorite soup. Add shit to it. Like Tomato soup, add some basil, garlic powder, and oregano. Then blend in a generous amount of shredded cheeze (I use the 5 cheeze blend). You'll impress the 16 year old girl down the hall that you are a chef!
Folks, add yer canned recipe, and we'll all be heros.

Easiest thing in the world to make. Get a nice fresh bushel of bluecrabs. Steam until red. Add old bay or whatever. The end. Takes less than 10 mins to feed 20. Less than 5 to feed yourself.
Or get a lb of fresh lump crab meat. add a few eggs, spices and veggies if youd like. Patty them like a burger and fry. Ten mins your livin large, makin everyone jealous.

5 lb. raw shrimp (with or without heads)3 sticks butter or margarine 3 onions, cut in quarters 3 sticks celery Salt and Old Bay Seasoning Original Recipe Directions: Put all ingredients in a pot at one time. Turn the heat on medium for 15 minutes. Turn off heat and let set for 15 minutes. Pot will have plenty of water. Put in butter, onions, celery and seasonings in pot. Bring this to a boil and stir occasionally. Taste the veggies/liquid to see if you have enough seasoning. Then add the shrimp on top of the veggies using medium heat and stir occasionally. Bring everything to a boil and then turns off the heat and covers pot for 15 minutes.

My wife loves to cook a batch of potatoes and onions with Crab Boil. I like to get a batch of jumbo shrimp and boil them up with a packet of powdered crab boil and liberal dose of liquid crab boil. The powder gives it flavor, the liquid heat.

Red...will I need a bowl and a measuring cup? 1 package of crawfish, 2 cans of chicken broth, 2 cans of rotel tomatoes, 1/2 stick of butter and 2 cups of rice. I think that's what I usually do.

I do that with roasted chickens lee. But instead of chicken soup, I use 4 cans of chicken broth, and one large bag of noodles. By the time you got your broth boiling and noodles cooked, you pretty much got the chicken fully torn apart. Just toss it in.
