BTB, How do Larkin's numbers compare to Alomar's? Without looking at them, I'm surprised that Barry Larkin didn't get more votes... BTW, I noticed that Todd Zeile got zero votes...seems about right

BTW, I noticed that Todd Zeile got zero votes...seems about right Just looked them up: Alomar: 2724 hits, 504 2bs, 210 Hrs, 1134 RBI, 474 SBs, .300 BA Larkin: 2340 hits, 441 2bs, 198 Hrs, 960 RBI, 379 SBs, .295 BA Pretty similar. Alomar had 10 GG's and 4 silver sluggers. Larkin had 3 GG's (robbed of some by Ozzie) and 9 silver sluggers.

I've never understood the thought process behind the HOF vote. If a guy is deserving, vote him in the first year he's eligible. If not, forget it. Why do guys become "more deserving" as the years pass? On that note, I think 36% is a good sign that Edgar might get in eventually.
