Georgia coach on hot seatPosted: Tuesday March 04, 2008 06:48AM ETIn the next three weeks Georgia athletic director Damon Evans must recommend to President Michael Adams whether basketball coach Dennis Felton should be retained. Instead of the successful season most anticipated, the Bulldogs (12-15, 3-11 SEC) are finishing a tumultuous and disappointing year. That it comes in the fifth year of Felton's tenure doesn't help his case. Atlanta Journal Constitution

Like I mentioned yesterday, it's nothing against him personally, but how long until you start saying the off the court discipline issues are his responsibility. He had 5 years and there has been no improvement. With the amount of talent in the state of Georgia, there is no reason UGA shouldn't be a tournament team at least every other year. I understand UGA will never be a cbb powerhouse, but even if the national basketball powers pluck the best talent out of the state every year, Georgia should still be pretty good with second tier talent. Bottom line is that the University just finished building the nicest and most expensive practice facility in the country and they expect results now.

Damn, back in the day..... Vern Fleming, Cedric Henderson and oh yeah, that other guy.... Dominique Wilkins, the last and only era of UGA Basketball. Quit following them in like '85 or '86, seems like they just never could get it going since.
