USC files Pac-10 complaintPosted: Tuesday March 04, 2008 06:58AM ETTwo days after his team was called for a season-high 29 fouls during a loss against Arizona State, USC Coach Tim Floyd on Monday said he had voiced his displeasure with the game officiating to Pacific 10 Conference officials. Four Trojans players fouled out and USC was called for more than twice as many fouls as the Sun Devils, who were assessed 14 fouls during their 80-66 victory at Tempe. Arizona State shot 39 free throws to USC's 11. The Sun Devils shot 36 free throws during a second half in which they overcame a three-point deficit to build leads as large as 22 points. Arizona State scored 13 consecutive points from the foul line during one stretch. Los Angeles TimesI've heard that it was just getting flat ridiculous in the second half. The initial USC response was that they were going to closely review the game on tape and look at the calls before deciding about filing a protest. I guess the tape review supported the complaint.

I watched this game, Sad. I want to say USC didn't even get to the foul line until midway through the second half and shot a total of 3 free-throws the entire game. Floyd was irate...they gave him a technical and I thought he was going to get thrown out of the game. I can definitely see their side of the argument. Some say Arizona St. needed that one to get into the tourney....conspiracy?

Quit bitching Floyd. He's not the first coach to feel a game was called unfairly.
No special treatment for USC, I say.
Maybe they ate at the buffet and were slow footed that night and just resorted to hacking.

They didn't Bucks I watched the game too, it was as bad of a game as I have seen in a while. I am not big on conspiracy and I don't think that is what was going on here. However I am big on Ref's and Officials taking themselves too seriously though. That was defiantly going on in that game.

You should hear the BS concerning refs here in North Carolina about how Duke gets calls while others do not. If you look at the numbers, the opposition has a point. Duke gets calls all the time as if it is written in the ACC contract that all ref's must sign!!! It is quite funny hearing NC St., North Carolina, FSU, and Clemson fans bitch, bitch, bitch.....
Is this as common for USC not to get calls, like it is for Duke to get calls, just curious....

okay, bcssbad, I will rephrase.... I really do not like D-U-I-ke, but admire them from very afar.
This just in, for me at least, RUSH on tour.... July 20th, Verizon Amphitheatre, Charlotte, NC..... note to self, quit listening to radio commercials, but hey, I could relive my college days, though. Also have a Lynyrd Skynyrd / Hank Williams tour and Tom Petty / Steve Winwood tour.... but hey, who knows who else is coming, but am always ready for options!
