NL Central favorites, that's cute When did I say that? They can win the NL Central now though. The most shocking thing about that post is that you're up so early in the morning. Do you work or something? I woke up today at 9, and that was the earliest I've woken up all semester on a weekend. Now the Brewers need to sign a CF, and a SS. Someone like Orlando Cabrera, or Renteria would work at SS.

You did not say that, the article did Don't you live in St. Louis, or at least nearby? Waking up to at 7 to go to a game at 12? You must've tailgated or something. Anyways the Brewers have basically destroyed their farm system to make for a 3-4 year window where they can make a run for the WS. Might as well deeper in since there is really no way out. They should try and get Garza also. The Brewers have some decent prospects they could take and we're not in a wait for future mode type team. The Brewers have gone from having one of the worst rotations in the NL to one of the 5-6 best rotations, and when you match that with one of the 3-4 best lineups you have a team that is a playoff contender. A positive thing about this is that Greinke actually likes Milwaukee, and the Brewers probably have a shot to sign him long term, and if they can do that along with Weeks the window could extend another 2-3 years since Gallardo, and Braun are already locked up long term as well. Now, for this team to really be a contender Doug(Who is still an idiot needs to do 2-3 more things): 1. Get a CF. A Gomez/Dickerson platoon won't work. 2. Get a new SS. Betencourt at SS. LMFAO! Renteria or Cabrera here. 3. Get some Bullpen help.

Nice move by the Brew Crew ;D Apparently, Cashman had set up a meeting in KC after the holidays to discuss a trade for Greinke.

I'd like to add that the Royals Farm System right now is better then what the Rays had 5 or so years ago. IMO in 2013 or so the Royals will win that division for a few years before they had to trade everybody, and start over again.

Greinke is a great pitcher and I would love to see him in a Yankee uniform. I don't think he would be a good fit as he has some anxiety disorder and the pressure might be too much. Really a great move by the Brew Crew to bolster their pitching even more...

Yeah, I think Greinke is a better fit for Milwaukee also, but I don't think the anxiety issues are as big of a deal as they're made out to be. He's seemed to have gotten help, and gotten over it.
Too bad for the Royals they should've traded the guy last year, they could've gotten twice as much as the Brewers gave up.

It sounded like it was okay but I had a hard time finding out much information. +1

It seems to me his biggest problem last year was the fact that he wanted to play for a winner which is a good thing in the eyes of the Brewers.

Grienke was a god in Kansas City. I think the trade was pretty even myself

That being said outside of Cain, IMO all of these prospects have some problems. Escobar-Can't hit for his life. Jeffress-Pot Head Odorizzi-Only a Single A player last year I think. Anyways, you'll be happy to know that pfish, and some other Brewer fans have said they'd win 100 games this year, and heck someone even said Betencourt would hit 20 HR's. I would consider 90 wins and a finish above the Cards a successful season.

Lorenzo Cain seems to be the only guy that they really 'gave up' in this trade based on what I have seen about a few of the other prospects.
Grienke has some really good stuff and the pressure might be relieved not being forced to be the number 1 guy (he will be two or three depending on where you want to slot Marcum).
Nice trade for the Brewers. NL Central getting a lot more interesting.
