Another crazy game. We're up 4-2 top of the Ninth 2 outs and 2 strikes....BAM!!! They tie us up after leading the entire game. We ended up scoring the next inning to win 5-4. We improve to 6-0 on the season, two good wins over a good team. Things looking up.

USC with another shut out and that makes 43 straight innings without giving up a run. Team ERA is 1.0 at this point.

Do you guys just not have a closer? Yeah but he had to come in the game in the third today. He went all the way to the top of the 9th today without allowing a run. It was when we pulled him they rallied. With him throwing so much today I think we're in trouble tomorrow. I want the sweep, but this is a solid club we just took the series from. You can see how much we've improved.

This is going to be a wild year I think, in typical series fashion we jump to a big lead 4-0, they come back and give us a late scare, we hold on... We won 4-2 and sweep #29 UNLV. Improve to 7-0 on the season. Sweeping a good club like UNLV feels great!!!

Tigers defeat TSU this evening 4 to 1 to run their record to 7-0 on the year. LSU's pitching staff is coming around - should be their strength this year.

Nice series sweep bill. USC wins today in shutout fashion. That's 5 shutouts in a row. Two away from the ncaa record. Team era is 0.91.

TUCSON, Ariz. — Louisiana State is ranked No. 1 in the latest Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division I baseball poll presented by Big League Chew bubble gum.
The Tigers, 7-0, feature a pitching staff with a 1.00 ERA that has struck out 54 batters over seven games and walked only 10.
Cal. St. Fullerton, ranked No. 1 last week, slipped to 10th after posting a 2-2 record.
The top five teams in the nation, LSU (7-0), Florida St. (6-0), Oregon (7-0), Vanderbilt (7-0) and South Carolina (7-0) are all undefeated. South Carolina pitching has thrown five consecutive shutouts and has blanked opponents for 51 consecutive innings.
Poll Notes: Several other teams have been red-hot. Arkansas (6-0), Tennessee (7-0), Southern California (7-0) and Florida International (8-0) are all unbeaten. Virginia has won six straight, N.C. State six in a row, Louisiana-Lafayette seven consecutive, and Texas Tech. 6 straight. In key series over the weekend, Miami (Fla.) won two of three against Florida, Cal. Poly took two of three against UCLA, Texas won two of three against Stanford and Tennessee swept three from UNLV. Four teams fell out of the top 30 in Indiana (2-5), Arizona St. (3-4), Alabama (4-2), and UNLV (4-3). New to the poll are Arkansas, Tennessee, Southern California and Florida International.

Glad my Vols have been recognized by the rest of the nation, we all know what kind of coach Dave Serrano is, this could be the year he starts getting it done here in Knoxville.

Monty didn't have good stuff last night. But the team fought through it. We were down 6-1 and then scored the next 8 runs including a grand slam by Grayson greiner. Next game at 2 today on espn3 if anyone wants to watch.

We played much better today and crushed Clemson 10-2. The umps blew a play where clemsons coach entered the field of play during a play and instructed his players on what to do. Very odd play.

Tennessee with a 9-4 win over Quinnipiac today. Best start in program history (10-0). We can hit, don't have many if any holes in the lineup. I look forward to seeing what they can do against some of the elite pitching in the SEC like South Carolina. Only three undefeated teams in college baseball and we're one of them, i'm a proud Vol fan right now.

Definitely a good start. I'm looking forward to conference play as well. Right now we are tied 1-1 with Clemson. It would be pretty sweet sweeping them in their place.

We got a mid week 2 game series against La Salle this week, then hit the road for the first time this weekend to play Arizona state. Arizona state has been a let down this year, but still talented and with it being our first road trip I don't see us being undefeated this time next week.
On another note, even though it's still early in the year I agree that South Carolina has been the most impressive. I can't see how they can leave us out of the top 25 this week.
