The revloving door of transfer quarterbacks continues to spin, especially at TCU where the Horned Frogs have both lost and added a signal caller in the span of one week.
Former Texas A&M quarterback Matt Joeckel confirmed his plans to finish his career at TCU via Twitter on Thursday night.
Joeckel earned his undergraduate degree in December and will be eligible to play in 2014. He fills an immediate need at quarterback for TCU after Tyler Matthews announced his decision to transfer from the program earlier this week.
Joeckel's departure from College Station was just made official on Wednesday, and according to ESPN.com's Jake Trotter the two-year backup to Johnny Manziel spent Thursday on TCU's campus before finalizing his decision.
"I have loved my four and a half years at Texas A&M," Joeckel said in a prepared statement earlier this week. "I am glad I had the opportunity to play for Coach Sumlin, Coach (Jake) Spavital and the rest of the coaches. I am proud to have my degree from the Mays Business School and I'll always consider myself a member of the Aggie family."
The loss of Tyler Matthews appeared to leave Trevone Boykin as the unchallenged No. 1 quarterback for TCU in the fall, but the addition of Joeckel could keep that competition running through fall camp.
Horned Frogs coach Gary Patterson brought in Doug Meacham from Houston and Sonny Cumbie from Texas Tech to be co-offensive coordinators of a new up-tempo scheme in the offseason -- one that should be familiar to the former Aggie quarterback.

Hope he does well. Leaves our depth chart at QB pretty thin, and i would love to have him as a backup, but he wasn't going to start. I'm sure it's just a conspiracy against Tech anyway. He's familiar with Tech's offense and A&M allowed him to go to TCU just to share inside info.

It does not matter... Cormer Co-OC Sonny Cumbie is already at TCU.... But it deosn't matter, they could have a copy of our play book and game plan and we still would beat TCU.

They are 0-2 against TTU, but do lead the nation in drug arrests.... (If TN was 2-0 against TTU I would never post about it again.... TCU loses heads up.. Edo stiry. Bye bye.

How is it if Texas Tech is so good, that they have never been to a premier bowl? Must be East Coast, West Coast, Mid-West, Northern, and Texas bias.

Kasnas still wins OOC games on a fairly regular basis.... No Big12 team is a "warm up" team. stop talking out of your ass and get back on topic.

ITs Charlie Weis... who i care nothing about... But like Duke, they had there one big "WTF" year already... and will be back down... its a basketball town.
Well, the point is gentlemen.... We get to play them every year.... but we also get the Top teams of the conference every year....
You SEC guys have the luxury of only playing 3 of the 7 from the other side... and you can "luck out" and play the 3 worst....
Kinda like if you drew "Kansas, ISU, and TCU"....... where as you could have gotten "OU, UT, and OSU".....
We have to play all.... no way to hide in the Big12.
