The way ND usually gets treated in the polls, I'm pretty happy with this one. I guess the voters realized that the offensive PI was a bullshit call as well.

The way ND usually gets treated in the polls, I'm pretty happy with this one. I guess the voters realized that the offensive PI was a bullshit call as well. Even Lou Holtz said it was the correct call. Haha. Congrats on your win cobra. I was having fun because the call is getting plenty of air time. ND didn't lose because of that call, they lost because they gave up 21 second half points and couldn't stop FSU when it mattered most. I don't give a shit about who said it was a good call and who said it was a bad call. There are 1000 people on both sides of that argument. Here's what happened: FSU bitched about ND receivers making picks earlier in the game. So the refs were looking for it--and if you're looking for something, you're going to see it. Whether it actually happens or not, you're calling it. If that game wasn't in Tally, it was a no call. If that same call went against FSU, the stadium would be burnt down and ESPN would be crowing about how ND won the game with a lucky call In any event, ND absolutely dominated the game. They should not have been in a position where an official's call can decide things. Herbie said ND would not be able to run the ball, guess what--he was wrong. Folston ran all over the FSU D. The true blame falls on ND for not putting the game away in the 3rd quarter.

Like Lou Holtz stated in his famous 1989 speech. We beat the Big 10 Champs (Michigan), we beat the ACC champs (Virginia), we beat the PAC 10 champs (USC), we beat the best 2 teams in the east (Penn St and Pitt), both then not conference affiliated). Then we beat the Big 8 Champs In the bowl (Colorado).
Did him no good. They still gave the trophy to Miami.

Had he at least pretended to run a route it would not have been called.

But the perception of the SEC East as weak was actually reinforced this week. As impressive as the Mizzou win might have looked on paper, their offense continues to really struggle. They were dominated the entire game in Williams Bryce except for the last 8 minutes. They had around 150 yards against Georgia and 120 against Florida. Yet right now, they might be the second best team. For the past few years the West has been the better division, but it has been respectably close. This year it is off the books.
I know football is cyclical, but how has it gone off the tracks that bad...recruiting in the east has been pretty good. Certainly its been as good as Miss State and for the most part Ole Miss. Yet everyone except Georgia in the east looks horrible right now. Georgia beat Arkansas and Florida played LSU pretty even, but the rest of the East-West matchups have been like Sun Belt-SEC matchups.

5 if 14 sec in the top 25 5 if 10 b12 in the top 25 Just saying.... ...and 6 of 12 PAC in the top 25. ....and your counting isn't apparently much better than your spelling . There are 6 SEC in the top 25, not 5. So you have 6 PAC, 6 SEC and 5 B12. That's 17 of the top 25, 7 of the top 10, 11 of the top 15, 14 of the top 20.

This isn't a complaint about the poll, but more of a question for everyone. Nothing new either, I've been harping on it for years.
If you dropped Notre Dame in your poll, why?
Not saying you can't, or your wrong, I just want to know why. The #5 team went on the road to play the #2 team. They would have won the game if not for a non-play affecting penalty, that if not called, would have certainly raised ND up several spots in the poll. So what was it about that penalty that causes you to think that not only is ND not a top 3 team, they aren't even as good as their #5 ranking and deserve to drop?
Again, not saying there aren't any good reasons. You can think both teams aren't as good as previously thought after watching them. You can think that the teams you jumped ahead of them impressed you with their victories and are indeed better. I just don't see how in a vacuum how the logic makes sense, that A > B > C, B almost beats A, B is somehow worse than C now.
