I know y'all want me to do the honors.... But I will not be able too. Ul 31... FSU.... 20. No need for a live thread now. Sorry I ruined the show.

I may watch the high lights if UL has a LB that hits Winston like Taylor hit Thiesman. Other than that do not care. It is a shame that FSU went from a school touting a Rhodes Schollar playing football to just ensuring that the world knows it wants to be nothing more than a football factory.

It's really eating you up, isn't it? I am not worried. The time will come where FSU will be just like the U. You know So what that we got caught being a dirty program and had to forfit every thing, We won it on the field. It is amazing that the ACC stooped that low.

Not to worry, when the ACC no longer can boast of it's academic standards, I am sure the Big 12 will be happy to take FSU.

You had Urban Meyer covering up shit left and right while he was there. So get off your high horse and STFU about another program being dirty.

It is interesting that the line opened at FSU -7 and is now -4 FSU + 2.5. What is also fucked up... By some strange miracle.... UL is now ranked 25. Come on.... UL has been off the fuckin radar all year. Now they play FSU and they some how get # 25? UL in my Book is # 6. And that is lenient. Name 6 teams that can beat UL. No one has beaten UL except UL. They were clearly the dominant team in both losses to UVA and Clemson. Unforced turnovers, offensive False Starts, and a stupid punt return keeps UL from being undefeated. I think the so called experts have been going back and actually watching game film on UL. That's why the spread is crashing fast.

It is interesting that the line opened at FSU -7 and is now -4 Why is this interesting? It is what a degenerate gambler like myself would call reverse line movement. In this game, FSU opened as a 7 point favorite. Well over 60% of the folks that have bet the game have bet on FSU. That would usually mean that if anything, the line should have gone up to 7.5 or 8. Instead it is going down. In fact it has gone down to 3.5 as of now.

I agree that if one side is getting over 50% of the betting action that any movement should have gone against the betting to protect the house. Where do you find the percentages? Also, could it be that the 60% represents betting volume, not amounts? If Lee placed a million dollar bet on UL for example, the line would have to move against UL to offset the risk to the house even if more bets volumetrically were placed for an FSU win.

You are exactly right about the amount of money bet vs the number of bets placed. That's why I find the line movement interesting. The adage is--the public is on Florida State, the big betting "sharps" are on Louisville. Of course if these adages always held true, I'd be lounging on a boat somewhere instead of sitting at my desk right now.

Oh, almost forgot...as far as finding the percentages--I have an app on my phone that has them. I'll compare those numbers to scoresandodds.com. They are usually pretty close.

Here's a curious gambling record request if anyone has the means to figure it out:
What is the record of SEC teams against the spread in OOC against quality opponents in the first 2 weeks of the season in the last 10 years?

Louisville gets a big play early to set them up in scoring position only to be stuffed on 3rd and goal.

And then rather than taking points, they miss on a bootleg pass. Awful.
