I miss California in a lot of ways, But I live in a bigger sewer here in DC. It's the only place I've lived that has made me miss California. I can totally understand that. Have you ever considered pulling back from the rat race and opening a private practice in someplace that isn't a political cesspool? (meaning someplace where politics don't carry so much weight in daily life) Sure, everyday. But my now ex-wife is part of and loves the mierde that goes on in politics and on the hill. So until my kid goes to college I'm stuck

Am I the only one that thinks this is no biggie? I think it is a little embarrassing but not worthy of being a national story. Nor should there be some PR campaign for him getting treatment unless he truly has a problem. We have all got too drunk, granted not on a big stage like that, but it isn't like he was way out of line with what he was saying.

It goes so many ways. Moving out of state and revealing you're a "Californian" seldom draws a positive response, but among my crowd (that has almost entirely left the state) everyone is disgusted with the state almost without exception. Another couple revealed they're moving to Oregon this week and you should have seen the responses from around the country telling them they made the right move by people from back home who previously left themselves. It didn't even matter that they were going to Oregon, just that they were leaving California. I miss California in a lot of ways, But I live in a bigger sewer here in DC. It's the only place I've lived that has made me miss California. Living in San Diego I think is different than the rest of California. I doubt I ever leave it long term. I have to leave in Seattle next year for 6-10 months but other than that I imagine I will not leave San Diego. Kids love it and the school systems are great. Now come college time that UC system looks like a pain. Some crazy standards to get into them.

I would buy you an adult beverage of your choice, should you wish to meet; if not, I understand; our past relationship has mot been the best

Yea that would be great. I won't be back up there until June timeframe. Just was up there for Seattle Sea Fair, second year in a row. I liked the city.
