Lol..... Well there goes that team. The kid never had a problem looking great at PRACTICE...... It was always gameday that screwed him up. But OU didn't really have much of an option at QB. The starter at OU would be #3 here at TTU. Chew on that fir a while.

Leave it to the bama fan to think 3 different QBs can be 3rd string at once!!!

With the insane running game he will be successful ..... Unless he has to tackle anyone. Still pisses me off thinking about him stop running and letting the guy score.... Pussy. He is a prick. And I can't wait to whoop his ass this year.

This is probly a true assessment. But there are several nfl QB's that were nit as good in college as say.... "Tebow, VY, Harrell,"... Many tiger dominat college QBs...

Baker Was a very interesting subject here at TTU...
He comes to TTU as a walk-on. The #1 gets hurt in Summer after the is already here at the lake.... The #2 gets Mono and loses 30 pounds at the first of August camp..... The #2 is still not ready and So Baker starts for TTU against SMU.
Has a GREAT game... against SMU, and yes, as a "fan boy" i was all saying "HEISMAN" as were a lot of FoxSports SW commentors who watched Kingsbury do similar to JFF....... The next game was FCS SFA and it was 61-13 were he had an "average" game for a TTU QB at 367 and 3 TD's......
Then he played a team with a pulse..... TCU... and threw 3 picks and only 216 yards before Davis webb had to come in and win the game for the Red Raiders.... And from that point on, it was a back and forth between Mayfield and Webb as Webb was still not even 75%.
Baker ALWAYS looked awesome in practice.... just awesome. But Webb had to come in every damn game and finish the deal. Then Webb got a concussion and was out, Baker was out, and Vinny's kid had to come in against Texas.....
Baker was not as much of the story as it was "a Freshmen walk-on"....... And then the True Freshmen Davis Webb on scholarship that was also hurt and playing.... and the Big recruit Michael Brewer that was suppose to lead the way and every week everyone kept waiting for his return.....
Baker had one issue... "Baker". It was Kingsbury's first year as Head Coach..... he just had JFF and now there was this "dancing" Freshmen that Kingsbury's new Phenom was born... and boy did he buy into it.
The issue was so big in the field house that The fighting over QB's drove away Sonny Cumbie to TCU.
But he is at OU. He will have 18 INT's and 34 TD's..... he'll hand the ball off a lot and TTU will be a fist fight waiting to happen when he pops off.... But he's a cocky little shit and OU deserves him.

So what you are really saying is...
kK is a major DB that drove away the now starting QB at VT, the now starting QB at OU, and a very good OC now at top 5 ranked TCU.

as much as I'd like to, no.
never been to Knoxville and I'm sure it would be a great time tailgating.
I'll have to settle for watching it on the big screen...

I have found as I have gotten older my fall priorities haven't included going to an OU game in a number of years.
For one things, vacations are usually done in the fall, after school has started, so as to avoid the crowd and it's usually cheaper, too.
As much as OU is on the tube, about the only game I don't watch is the first one, which is usually a PPV.
This year it's Akron and I'm not spending the money to watch it. I'll listen to it on the radio.

But the fact they were not good enough to start here seems to be the better explanation. Is Brewer starting still at TTU? And baker is a to machine. Will cost them the TN game single handedly.....

The biggest problem is firmer TTU player/coach now OU OC Lincoln Riley....
Just like everyone else OU has hired a firmer TTU coach as OC and copying Leaches blueprints....
He is a great OC.... And has turned worse into winners at ECU...

Personally, I don't know what to expect, but I'm eager to see. I suspect he might be on a short leash at Tenn and if he throws some early pics, I suspect he'll get pulled. I'm pretty sure you haven't seen me say nary a word on this subject, until now....

He was great until the TCU game..... In the locker room that is. But he whines a lot and is very good at being "the cool guy" with his WR's..... Which just causes a divide. He was so good at it it made coaches pissed at each other.
If he gets pulled..... It's over. History proves it.
