Damn! I carried on campus there, at Georgia Tech, and at Auburn. It was no big thing at Tech. Every American grad student I knew had one - especially the women. link

I wonder if after VT and other shootings on campus if schools cracked down on carrying on campus?

I wonder if after VT and other shootings on campus if schools cracked down on carrying on campus? They had cracked down on it before, but they are likely enforcing things more strictly. We had an incident on the Auburn campus in which a football player was driving on the east side of campus, and his wife shot him with a .25 automatic, sitting next to him in the car. He was playing football again a few weeks later.

If I need something easily concealable and strong enough to stop a threat, I use a .380 with hollow point ammunition in a Ruger LCP.

Didn't mafia hitmen often use a .22 because the bullet would tumble and do damage when at close range?

The .22 LR round is considerably more penetrative and ballistically balanced than the .25 caliber round.

Kind of a weird spot. It was on a highway rolling through that used to be considered off campus. Now, I am sure he had it in his trunk when he was on campus
Charges have been dropped and he is back on team. A poster on Clemson site posed an interesting question: Clemson and other schools have a lot of kids who like to hunt. Where are they supposed to keep their guns if they live out of state and do not live off campus?

If you can afford to hunt as a college student, you can afford a gun club membership and store your guns there.

And hunting is not crazy expensive if you know someone with land. If you already have gun and gear, it is price of ammo. But having a kid who is a sophomore at Clemson, there are a lot of kids that hunt and fish which is one of the allures of the area. My sons roommates all hunt and fish but they live off campus Fact is if a gun is not loaded, unchambered, and in a locked area, there should be no issue

Dabo learned a thing or two from Saban. think he has to do PTI so not completely dropped...but yeah Clemson is not as "clean" as it appears. Better culture than most but college kids are still college kids and a lot of shit gets handled internally. I'd be lying if I said otherwise. I have a son there and a kid I coached starting for them now...I am well aware of a lot of things that happen. Most do not involve guns, drugs, or being a dumb ass driver but minors in possession, fights downtown, etc. that Dabo is made aware of and the dog house is not a fun place to be. They ight prefer a night int he slammer

Takes two seconds, doesn't make a mess, or a loud report, it's their weapon of choice.
