It is no secret that I am not a huge fan of expanded playoffs. That said, the freaking NFL has some gall complaining about College Football infringing on their Saturday games. What did the NFL care about when they decided to use Black Friday as their day have pro games. The NFL, unlike any other sport, has a free resourced minor league and they bitch.
The College Football Playoff format is set to be brand new this year and with that comes new scheduling.
Because the playoffs will include 12 teams instead of four, some games could be on Saturday in the third week of December, which is usually when the NFL has a game or two.
The new College Football Playoff schedule has NFL executives "not happy" according to John Ourand of Puck News.
"Multiple sources have told me that executives in the league office were not happy about C.F.P.’s chutzpah in scheduling games that day, and they have been left scratching their heads as to why C.F.P. would encroach on their veritable turf," Ourand wrote, (first transcribed by Awful Announcing).
Even though the league is upset about it, it's still something that it'll have to put up with unless something changes.
Also, having College Football Playoff Games and NFL games on during the same day would be sports heaven for fans. The trick would be to spread the games out so that fans can watch all of them.
December is about to become an even better month for sports fans. Along with NFL and CFP games, the NBA and NHL will also be having games.

Oh no. The poor NFL is worried about their free minor league system will take a few viewers away from them on a day of the week that is normal for that minor league to use. Boo fn hoo
