Trevor Entienne, UGA's transfer RB from Florida, arrested on DUI charge last night.
I really do not understand what the fuck happens to these guys when they hit downtown Athens and then make these choices with so much on the line for their careers.
Have at it, fellow rivals and others, but may the shoe never ever be on the other foot.
Some dumb mother fuckers out there!

I am curious what the charge actually is as it is something lesser than a "DUI", but still a DUI of some sort. And, the kid is 19, so there is that!!
Any way...I am going to go get a beer, or three, with my freind, Terri, and see if I can throw a fricking cherry on top of this beautiful day I have spent doing nothing but chores, and helping my sister prep her kitchen for Demo Day as she gets a new kitchen starting tomorrow.
Peace!!

There is a sense of entitlement or privilege in athletes and that has been there since ancient times. Greek olympians and even Roman gladiator slaves were given special treatment. At least those guys could get killed in the games. A couple of modern examples: - I once did tutoring of athletes in the Danny Ford era at Clemson. I took the job seriously, but one of the assistant coaches thought my job was to find ways to pass the players regardless of their understanding of the subject (I was teaching math.) I lost the job in a couple of weeks. - Two friends of mine from high school got married and moved to Athens, where the guy enrolled in grad school after graduating from Washington and Lee. His wife went to work at a company nearby, where she was a receptionist. One day a UGA football player came in and told her his name. She just said, "Okay, so....?" He was insulted, and told her his name again. She had no idea what to do, but a manager came out, started treating the player like royalty and chewed out my friend. Players have long expected to be treated like that.
