Coach Brian Kelly. He is turning a blind eye towards the problems at UGA. Probably has enough of his own.

Clemson game if charges remain. I do not see how charges do not remain...oh wait...he is a college athlete... -Speeding -Improper lane change -admitted to drinking -immediately handed keys to police officer without even trying to deny anything 14 reckless driving and/or DUIs since the deaths. In all seriousness, this is an issue. Then I saw where Kirby stated they continue to provide counseling and have even brought in speaker to talk to the team. The guy he brings up...Dante Stallworth...he was driving drunk, killed a pedestrian and got out in 24 days for good behavior from his 30 day sentence. That is hardly showing these kids a hard lesson. That is essentially showing them if you are famous and have money that you can get just 24 days for DUI manslaughter...which could have been murder This is not a UGA thing...I'd be saying same shit if it was Clemson. This is an issue. But the ay the rule reads, if convicted he has to miss at least 10% of a 12 game season according to article I read which is essentially 1 game...but Kirby can choose that game or suspend him for 2 halves in 1st two games? Am I reading that correct? Regardless...sucks for little Etienne. Knowing his family, momma aint none too happy as a military lady. But when you give these kids lots of money and 125k Acura what do you expect but at this point it is a culture issue at Georgia Next facility initiative needs to be a road course track

I do not think he wants to suspend him for 2 halves. Play Clemson without him. If they lose, they lose. A 3 loss team will make these new playoffs anyway so a single regular season loss means far less than it did once upon a time.

Yeah, but an on campus facility would be much better. Maybe they could combine it with an SEC level Basketball Arena or maybe even a decent Baseball facility. Hell, Indy has a golf course in the middle of their oval. All sorts of potential.

At some point it just becomes excepted

This is not exclusive to UGA, however, other schools have not had the high profile issues that have happened within the past couple of years. They need to try something new, perhaps kick him off of the team.
Is he a good player? Sure.
Will UGA win without him? Most likely.
Will this send a message? Absolutely.
Criminal charges are a separate issue.

How many casualties were involved in this string of accidents? There is no comparison to what is going on, but I am fine with them getting a disciplinary action, even if it included getting kicked off of the team.

Why you jump so far to the defensive on such a posting by me, CFF, is a little confounding, when all I was doing was simply showing similar chit happening elsewhere, and so happens to involve a school, a rival school at that, clad in orange. It was, more or less, an innocent poke, but a poke nonetheless by me. You poke at Georgia. Well...this is a little poke at Tennessee. Nowhere did I come across as equating the two. I ask, CFF, pretty please, to try and learn how to handle when folks do to you, exactly what you have shown you have done to them throughout the years. I know you know you poke at Georgia all the time when they make the news. That is all which was done here. Not a damn thing more.

Most of the time I don't even comment when they make the news. This is very similar to the "but Trump..." defense used in politics. Tennessee has 2 reckless driving charges over the past 2 years. Now back to the thread, how many does UGA have? I will refer to my previous post in this very thread. Merrit said nearly the same thing.

If I may interject into this whine-fest, I have no problem admitting that I do poke at UGA and its fans. And I have no problem with others who poke at UGA. In fact, I would encourage others, including CFF, to poke at UGA more often. But let's be honest here. When it comes to comparing the driving problems and infractions of Dawgs and Vols, there is a huge difference. First, we have an example of Dawg driving............................. Then we have have an example of Vol driving.................... Now honestly, who is going to create the bigger problem?

After searching briefly, looks like, as has been said before, this is happening all over. Oregon, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Alabama, Arizona State, and am sure if I kept searching, would show many more.
All I can say is I hope all get their time in court, if that is the path, and if found guilty, pay whatever price is handed down. May these football players be treated like any other citizens facing similar circumstance. Something tells me it will "depend".

Nobody is arguing that it happens at every school. It is happening at a higher rate at UGA and they have had a very serious incident that was the result of excessive alcohol, racing, and staff impropriety. It is bad when it happens anywhere, but look at the last 2 years, and then tell me that is happening everywhere.

You think there won't be a 4 loss team in there. It has become a joke. Next thing you know they will be asking the Masters to slip their affair a couple of weeks to handle this glorious experiment. And only a fool thinks it stops at 16.
