Yes, my head hurts. Also, I thought we were going away from kick offs because of injuries. Now we are going to encourage more long runbacks to get scoring up? Sounds like they are trying to emulate the NCAA logic that in one year decides to take time off the clock to "speed the game up" and then the next year decides that college players are as stupid as their NFL elders and need to be warned about the end of the game for an additional timeout. I am probably reading it wrong and I am sure someone will come on here and set me straight.

Im not sure this is the answer, but if we are being honest, kick offs in the NFL are useless and waste of time. 77.2% of kick offs are touchbacks. If they were going away from tackling/injuries, then just place the ball at the 25 yard line, 1st and 10 and call it day. Going to the XFL gimmick shit is just plain awful.

It's doubtful that I will ever watch another NFL game.
I just turned 45 a couple of weeks ago. I learned all of the ins and outs of the sports I care about decades ago. I'm not learning any new sports at this point, and I'm not watching any sport that I don't fully grasp.

the new tackle rule is worse..... "hip drop tackle"?
i saw a thing were a pic of the Rams win over the Titans would have drawn a penalty on the last play at the goal line. the Titans would have gotten another untimed play due to the tackle now being illegal...
I guess you just gotta ask them to stop? Or just put flags on them now and get on with it...
