The partial eclipse begins in the Bayou City at 12:20 p.m. We'll see the fullest coverage at 1:40 p.m. The partial eclipse then ends in Houston .
The bummer is the cloud cover- total right now.
Anyone close to the eclipse today?

We only have about 30% coverage here. It's safe to photograph it with a cell phone because it just converts the sun's rays into a digital image.

Funny, another thread was counting down until the "trolls" showed up regarding President Trump and his eclipse video. Now here we see a reposting of that same video in that thread, here in this thread. Hmmmm...perhaps I do not understand exactly what trolling is if this is not considered to be exactly that. Interesting. Must be an "orange" thing as what does Trump, Gator team colors and Vols team colors have in common? See? As for the eclipse, we were in the 80% coverage and was kind of neat to experience, but far less than what occurred for us here in CLT in 2017. Still fun to watch it transition as this will be my last one I ever see, more than likely.
