I said at the beginning of the season that Virginia's Coach Al Groh would be fired at the end. Is there any doubt now? Groh may not make it out of September

Cff, thats an interesting take on Fullmer.Averaging 9 wins a year in Columbus will get you run out of town.(See Bruce)Especially if you can't beat your arch rival.(See Cooper)

Did Cooper or Bruce win a NC? Fulmer has.

Carr has won one too, does that give you a lifetime pass?

Did Cooper or Bruce win a NC? Fulmer has. True cff - but we live in a society of what have you done for me lately - unless you're Joe Pa or Bowden -

No, but Fulmer has the team improving. With a couple of calls going the other way, UT may have got out of there with a win. With a few tackles made, UT could have got out of there with a win. He had a decent year last year, and better improve this year. I still think it is too early to call for his head.

And he has never lost to a IAA team.

Agree with both points cff - if Tn improves on D all year - they'll be just fine.
Of course I could be wrong.

Furthermore, the NC that Fulmer coached UT to was not a split (gift) NC. Michigan was awarded an NC as a gift because of the PAC 10 and Big 10 refusal to join the Bowl Coalition.

I wasn't questioning should Fullmer getting shit canned. My response was about some of the people here that feel that 9 wins is not good enough.I took it that you were satisfied with 9 wins in the SEC.I watched alot of the game Saturday night and Tennessee stayed with them most of the way.I was surprised at how fast Cal looked.

I was surprised at how many tackles that we missed. UT usually has a good defense, Chavis teaches them well. I don't know if the emphasis of recruiting has shifted too much to offense or if the defensive scheme is getting old. Time will tell.

Is "gift" the right word? I thought that was what the Buckeyes give the Gators last year.
Gift=the act of giving something up without much of a fight

That is what the writers did.
