I dont think Texas can drop too far for winning thier game LEE. That seems a little drastic. The preseason polls have too much weight if you don't drop a team that you think is not as good as a team below it. The previous rankings should have little to do with the current rankings.

I dont think Texas can drop too far for winning thier game LEE. That seems a little drastic. They played drastically BAD! No way should they be ahead of UL and Cal. They got lucky to even win! Had the other team not dropped 2 interceptions....it would have been a loss.

The 'Noles didn't play with any emotion either... The first half the emotion was confused The second half they did look better - but then Clemson woke up in time to hold on for the win.

Once again, I will state that these polls are too early. U of L played a horrible opponent and won in grand fashion, Texas won, but looked bad in doing it. Why is it so hard for the voters to say that U of L might be better?

Why does this sound like Jim Mora to me? PLAYOFFS?The 'Noles couldn't do DIDDLY-POO on offense...ya gotta love Jim Mora... They were the ONLY team with offense in the second half. They slept through the first half, but they looked pretty good in the second.

It's a Jim Mora quote..... it has no bearing on what I think of FSU's offense last night...

Clemson beat a quality Florida State team yesterday Define quality In the opinion of the people that define quality for those of us that really don't enjoy and follow football and know very little, if anything, they started the year with 19 quality points which isn't as good as 1 quality point but much better than more than 25 quality points. Clear enough

I can see Cal going over VT. They beat another ranked team and didn't struggle as VT did. But I guess we can give it to them this due to saturday's and the respect shown on that day.

I am just happy to be in the polls. And I think that we are in a good position too. 21st isn't bad after coming from 27th. So whatever, GO JACKETS!!!

I agree cff, I think these polls are useless until the middle of Oct. The only purpose they serve is for fans to debate, which is ok but they tend to position undeserving teams ahead of others just based on the W-L record.

I wouldn't worry about the Texas ranking. If they play like they did last week they'll lose. TCU is no Ark. St. I'm hoping they keep a high ranking until they play OU of course...
