chiapet the Arkansas offense is based largely on DMAC and Felix Jones but it starts with number 5 DMAC, this year we run the Wildcat which is the play you were referring to, but the offense is a lot of play action. All plays start going toward DMAC and Jones is in motion. When David Lee came in he installed the Dallas Cowboy offense when they had Emmitt Smith. That is what we are running now, no more trick plays and weird shit like last year with Malzahn. The wildcat package was tweaked and is still run, but DMAC lines up at QB on many other plays this year. Arkansas is with DMAC and Jones even without a passing game a complicated offense and very difficult to stop, because there are many options including a lot of short quick hitter passes. Does WV have those options with one or both of your studs out is what I was getting at. No doubt in my mind they have talent and will still be effective, but will they remain on the NC stage with one or both gone. I hope we don't have to find out but in Arkansas' case we aren't on the stage but if we lost DMAC we would be about as bad as Michigan or Notre Dame! Sleepy, a couple of things. First, to defend my Mountie homer posters on CBS, they are easy targets because they are constantly hit with trolls and other posters like yourself constantly trying to piss them off. You would think that they'd develop some thick skin by now, and for some of the older posters on there, that has happened. But, for some of the newer posters, they don't realize that someone like yourself is just fucking with them. So, they retaliate. There was a poster on CBS last year (gonewithewind was his screen name) who would attack us, warn us, and later confesses it was some research project. It gets old. Maybe now you understand where they're coming from. Secondly, if one or both of our studs goes out, Coach Rod will tweak the system. I think goose and Chi have mentioned some of the replacement players we now have if one or both of our studs goes down. But, Jarret Brown can run the offense just as capably as White as he demonstrated last year against Rutgers when White couldn't play. He may not have the speed of White, but he can still run the zone option as well as throw the downfield pass. When Slaton went down before the Gator Bowl, both White and Schmitt (our fullback) took over most of the running plays. Last year in the Gator Bowl, both ran for over 100 yds in Slaton's absence. This year, either Devine or Sanders look to back-up Slaton. They are true freshmen, but they both look very talented (based on one game). If either of them were to replace Slaton, I'd think that the play calling would be somewhat simplified for them. I think Slaton started the fifth game of his true freshman year, so it's not unrealistic to think one of these two couldn't step into his spot if needed.
